Bumping this ancient thread in case people are still interested in All Levels. Its a thing now :)
I am stepping down as a mod, which is why I am restoring the leaderboard to its original owner.
I also find it super uncomfortable to read things about me that is just blatantly untrue. I dont want to discuss this here, but my DM's have always been open, and ive reached out often to ppl who dont respond. Please dont spread lies about whats actually been happening. Enjoy your leaderboard. :)
If a site moderator needs to talk to me about my changes, please do. Would love to do so. Besides that, I have stepped down as a moderator as was the plan, and why I did moderator changes, as I didnt want to leave the board with mods I didnt feel comfortable with.
I've run this a fair bit, and I dont see how its possible to get a 1:13 without any new tech. On your first 1:15's, you're even losing seconds in places over the current WR. Places that doesnt rely on movement. I started suspecting movement speed could have been tampered with. Me discovering you clearly having knowledge in modification of games made me even more uneasy.
Nintendo choosing to take down ROM sites have nothing to do with our leaderboard.
Its now possible to submit runs with 1-4 players. Please dont keep submitting runs with 3rd and 4th player, when its 2p. Thanks

The only issue i see with us testing this out, is actually grinding until we can consistently whip out 1:16's, which doesnt allow much movement error at all. So getting to a point where we can test if this is actually faster in a run could be a while :p Non of us really run this anymore. But, its short. So its definately not impossible to get back on the horse in a short amount of time.
Back when Muikula and I ran this alot, we sort of came out with a strat that never ended up being used, but is 100% viable for the prayer room.
Basically its possible to pick up a book on the right side of the room, and use that to backwards boost yourself over the altar and thus reach the door insanely fast. But its incredibly hard to pull off in a run, and we ended up never capitalizing on it. But this might be something worth looking into for you!
Nice discovery though. I might have a look at this..
Oh and embedded videos do not count for views on YouTube.
I had a response to this, but it got lost in the recent site reroll. Tl;Dr is that we can't really control how other games are being moderated on the site.
I never had any nostalgia for the Yoshi puzzle games growing up. And I must admit, I havent ever played them that much as an adult either. But I really think their cool games. I own every version of the game, as far as I know. And I agree the SFC version feels weird. I dont care for the upgraded music!
So, yes and no? Bit of a meme, bit of actually thinking its a super cool game for speedrunning.
You can shoot me cookie party invites in any inbox of your choice.
Added you two (Keen and Lampoos) as mods. Didnt really understand if you also wanted in, Jmak. But I'm assuming this will do for now.
Happy running!
After having rewatched this many times now. I'm 99.99999% sure this isnt spliced, but simply sped-up the recording after picking up the key. This would explain the short key text, and more importantly, the sudden speed up of all his mouse movements. If you ask me, I'd say this is 100% cheated.
This would also explain why the video lags. He created articifial lag by exporting the video at a low framerate, so that the speed up isnt visible in terms of frame rate
There is definately inconsistency in how long the Key text stays on the screen. WAY shorter indeed.
