I'd love to get back into this game now that the new door skip mod is available, and I'll be posting my run on youtube when I do, but I'm certainly not going to adhere to this arbitrary remapping rule.
Due to my wrists I simply can't run the game that way, so it would be really nice to understand the reason behind excluding me from submitting here because of something that is beyond my control :)
Since it's been a month and not a peep of reasoning has appeared, I feel justified in concluding that there is no valid reason for doing so.
Regarding that thread, doesn't NST have ILs? What's different about 4?
Hey,
I've watched Cameron's tutorial (which is a different version but expect the same principles apply), and I've watched it on DepCow's world record like 40 times and in .25x speed, and for the life of me I cannot get this skip consistently.
The main issue I'm having is that I fall off the spike without executing the hyper jump: I actually don't know what I'm doing wrong. I hit the spike, spam the heck out of jump, but he just falls off.
Compared to a successful attempt, I'm really not seeing much of a difference:
Any tips for how to actually start the hyper jump? This happens like 8 out of 10 times.
Cheers, Rob
I'm just wondering what I might be missing regarding collecting the gem from Hang 'em High's level 7 entrance. Once I reach the end of the level, I can slide double jump over to the platform that moves you back to the boardwalk, but the camera doesn't pan over and I'm unable to collect the gem. Is there a specific action or trick that I'm missing to do this properly?
I second the return of the sapphire, gold and platinum relics for ranks 3, 2 and 1 in Crash 3.
Hello :)
You'll probably notice I'm new around here, and I just wanted to gauge what the general feel about this trick is. You have to use it to get a good time, but it sorta takes away from the gameplay and feels more about mastering a button sequence when I play the game this way. Is there any sort of interest in having a category for speedruns without the use of NSJ?
