All depends on how many people are willing to do a co-op speedrun.

To be honest, a category like that wouldn't be very interesting imo. And I personally fail to see the rationale behind a 1-lap run in every track, outside the standard time trial mode.

I agree that the use of mod pods would require a leaderboard split. Farming mods during a run is definitely a no-no, imo.

You get your best lap time once you finish TT doesn't mean that particular lap you recorded necessarily is your best lap. Sure, you can see the last frame of the lap to see your time, but that method only works for videos recorded at 60fps. Most people don't do this.

All star racing transformed at least told you the difference between your lap and your best time (which was always displayed)

How are we going to manage time trials? Afaik, the game does not tell you your lap time except when you do a PB. That might be an issue when someone has a saved time for gliched and wants to do a glitchless run.

There are indeed huge time differences that must be considered imo. My load times, for example, are basically non-existent, as I use an NVMe SSD on my PC.

That being said, an all-cups tun should be easy to deal with using IGT. I mean, the game itself gives you the time at the end of each race.
