Thanks to fusecv, there is an rng manip to guarantee elekong in 6 tries. The whole manip is only slower than just rolling with rng 1/3rd of the time. It works on the japanese rom too.

you can finish with 98s left on the timer by using bombs to break a lot of blocks instead of chaining with each other
