It's been a hot minute since I've run this game but for Comstock Gate Skip I remember it being important that you approach the gate from the right instead of the left when doing the first death.
There is a big statue in the center of the area so if you watch runners they tend to go a roundabout way to the gate and approach from the right side. Check a couple old runs to see what I mean. Once you get revived you need to run and jump onto the railing immediately so your grounded state is still marked as being on the other side of the gate. Then you just make your way along the railings until you get to the spot you need to jump off of.
If there was a way to skip into the Sorceress re-fight and killing her gave you everything to reach 117% then it would be fine. That sort of thing does not exist, however.
The PAL version of the game runs at 25 frames per second where the NTSC version runs at 30 frames per second. You will notice that load times are a bit longer for PAL and each dragon rescue animation takes longer as well. Due to the FPS difference the devs actually sped up Spyro's movement speed a bit to mask the difference but changed it too much. Spyro moves much much faster in the PAL version but with the longer load times and dragon animations it's actually slower. There are also a few tricks such as credits skip in 120% (saves 3 minutes) that can't be done on the PAL version of the game.
Outside of that I think there are some minor differences such as gem placement that are changed between the games. I've also noticed that Beuchiism, a PAL runner of the game, experiences a lot more clipping through walls accidentally which is likely due to the version.
You are still welcome to run the game on the PAL version considering all these differences or you are welcome to use one of the approved Emulators listed in the rules section of the forum.
Speedrunners don't work on commission. If you want to see something like that feel free to do it on your own or hope it sounds interesting enough to someone else that they'll do it.
I appreciate your suggestion Jonny but at this time we will not be adding Individual Level leaderboards for non-flight levels.
That's not going to be added but feel free to do it yourself for fun my man.
I sure would hate to lose a run because I happened to charge into a fool at the same time he is becoming big.
What if I want to leave 3 of the dragon eggs for my rescued dragon friends to collect while I focus on defeating the evil Gnasty Gnorc? I'm a busy guy and don't have time to collect all 12 eggs myself.
I forgot how trash that fight was. Thanks for the reminder!
Not sure how reliable it is but I think someone mentioned the sound cue of ripto getting hit. Maybe that could work? Would be a problem for muted videos though I guess.
I mean, Cyberdemon isn't wrong. The rules do state on final hit of Ripto. I think the best thing that should be done is to change the rules to accurately reflect the accepted end timing or re-adjust all the current times to be on the final hit.
So you are suggesting an "All Levels/Worlds" category? It could be neat who knows!

I found the individual world split lengths for each runner's PB (provided they had a way for me to verify) and created a table listing them in order. I also did a few calculations based off it.
On the second sheet I have the times split into groups so you can see the average individual world split time you should expect to get a time in that range.
I'll be updating this as PBs come in. It was a huge waste of my time but I hope someone likes looking at it. ;)
If there are any suggestions or things you'd like me to add you can message me on discord or twitch or something.
