Just got a 20:11 Color Phase run!! :) uploading now. Was completely shocked near the end so I missed the sub 20 :(
If you leave a level while holding a crate the crate won't carry over to the next level, but the game will still think you're holding it. You can't drop it and you can't pick up any other boxes. You also can't stick to walls or grapple anything with any color. Finally it won't fix itself unless you close the game and reopen it.
Found some more skips, In the great outdoors you can skip using red and yellow by doing a semi-precise jump off one of the ridges on the wall beneath the exit. In smokin' sticky style you can jump from the top of the third sticky wall to the blue teleporter, then stand on it and use the crystals on the wall to jump over to the blue goo.
Also 3 found weird things, in the four corners you can clip through the floor using the circular bars. However when you die it just teleports you back to where you were outside the bars. In the final desert level you can clip inside the pillars if you grapple the targets from behind, probably not useful but it's a thing. You can hit the red button from below in scarlet swing for the timer challenge.
Curious if anyone wants to share anything. I myself found: A weird/ currently unusable way to complete groovin' grapplin' which is hard but skips activating 2 buttons. It takes ~52secs while normally it takes 46secs You can clip the crates and then yourself through bars saving ~3mins 15secs. (uploading a 25min run so you can see it there). At one point I somehow clipped through the ground. In blue beyond I was able to clip through the wall by repeatedly jumping and grappling the dummy targets around the room. Can't remember everything but the final thing is that in hot heights the 2 groups of 2 large stones don't need to be moved. Neither do you need to move a large stone from the teleporter to inbetween the two pads.
At the start of this thread shunk has a mega link with the swf file for 1.2. You can use flashplayer to play it.
For v1.2 I don't think there is. There's the 10k mode in 1.5 and 1.21b, but I think that's about it. I got 6:41 using 1.21b, sub 6 might be doable
https://imgur.com/a/q4HVM5Y I think this is right, using flashpoint 9.0 infinity "glorious sunset"
Personally trying to edit the design for normal mode, think having the paths be the same length rather than one being x3 longer than the other would help reduce the need to juggle so much and make upgrading / editing mid run easier. Although I'm more used to finding & fixing minor flaws than redesigning from the ground up so it's not going so great.
Sounds like a good idea, although the only drawback I can think of is that the dps of towers is significantly lower compared to 1.5 so if there was equal choice between versions chances are I'd imagine 1.5 be used. But idk, it could be added and if there isn't much activity it could be removed, or closed and left as a legacy leader board.
Damn, xD you'll halve your record on your next submission.
xD missed sub 7 by 0.46. Think frost towers are useful when combined with / sandwiched between bash towers.
I saw gigs was playing on 1.5 and he submitted it to flashpoint, I downloaded it but can't see how to make it work.
Nice work on the doc! Could you maybe also add how much each enemy is worth when killed?
Been looking at some vids. diagonals seem important and there's no bash towers, Frost is also a common occurrence. . Sadly most of them are going for score so the designs are a bit slow and the vids are sped up so I can't make out what strats might be faster than others. My idea of letting bosses and others go early saves time in the short term, but I think the money lost affects upgrading towers significantly. 90% sure the 2 fast bosses alone are worth 120 each.
Final thing, is there an easy way to determine the dps of all the towers and their levels? Currently debating whether Dart towers with the splash is better than the single target squirt towers. Since most vids are using 1.5 with the ink tower thing.
Also noticed there's a few key binds (atleast in 1.21b) n > next round s > sell u > upgrade 1-6 > different towers
Then some less useful p > pause r > reset
Might be more, just the ones I found.
Damn, that's impressive.
Yeah I agree with sub 5 for medium. Currently going for ~6:30. Btw from what I can see older players didn't seem to like the use of bash towers or losing lives. Not sure, if maybe when the game is more popular to add a split for losing lives / no lives lost.
