Right on. Now I don't use a delayed timer. I just hit the timer when the boost hits. So as long as I hit at the same time as the boost, I'm good right?

I know this is old but I'm gonna answer anyway cuz the Star Fox forum needs more love.

I enjoy running Star Fox for a number of reasons:

1. It's a fairly short game. Being my first speed running game I'm glad I picked one that doesn't go longer than 30 minutes. It makes it easier to work with and the stakes aren't as high with having to reset.

2. I LOVE the soundtrack. I don't think I could run a game if I didn't love the soundtrack. I don't want to listen to other music while I run, I want to listen to the game music/sfx. Star Fox is one of the best soundtracks on the SNES so for me it never gets old. I still hum the songs all the time when I'm running, and I know other runners that do too!

3. No Voice Actors. If I were running Star Fox 64, I imagine I'd go crazy after a while listening to those ridiculous voices giving me the same tips and taunts all the time. With this one however, it's just "Berdabumbadabum". I can live with that.

4. It's FUN!! Playing this game casually was fun enough but playing it in the speed running sense really takes it to a new level of intensity. There's something really satisfying about flying through a slew of obstacles, dodging them all perfectly and even throwing in a barrel roll or two just to look cool, all the while holding down the boosters for ultimate speed. Feels Good Man.

I'm sure there's more I could add but those are the main points.

I just tried editing the comment under my video and thought I could just save it but then I got the message saying the run would have to be verified before it will be submitted. Now it's gone and put my old run back up on the leader board. So now here I am waiting for my run to get verified... Again.

Is this how it goes whenever I want to edit a comment or did I just do something wrong?

Hey guys! I'm Steve aka BroDudeMan. I just got into speedrunning a few weeks ago with one of my favorite SNES games, StarFox. With the help/advice of WR holder LowKeeee I manages to get 4th place in Route 1 any% No Warps. Looking forward to bettering my run and trying more categories in the future. Also really been enjoying watching other speedruns on this site. This place is awesome!

So how are you guys? What games do you like to run?

Right on. Do I need to register on SRL in order to race with you guys? It looks like you can only register through IRC I guess.
