Because you aren't supposed to click the pole, you just rub it up and down. The browser version is most likely a html poki version which runs differently to the original flash version.

There is an autosplitter created by LukeSaward in the discord in 2022 but it only works on flash. Too bad you keep leaving within minutes after joining the discord

No, because it is different to the original flash version. I just had a play and it is a disadvantage to use it anyway. So while you can play it for fun, it is not for the leaderboards.

I tried to use the vanilla launcher but it wouldn't work since for some reason, as there was a javaw file on the JDK but it was an app and not a .exe

I then tried out using multimc for the first time but needed to install the latest speedrunIGT for it to work, and finally the set spawn mod works!

In conclusion for those that want set spawn to work, just use multiMC because it has a smart detection to use the correct java version (I used java 20).

Only old google chrome works I believe with the right click glitch, I think it's called Chromium. Otherwise yeah using regular flash player won't have the glitch and will have a little bit of a disadvantage.

For NotDoppler you'll have to wait for the ad to play out and not press skip ad, sometimes the ad could be super long and you will have to refresh the page for a new ad or wait for a few days for a different ad.

In my opinion it should be fine. There used to be a runner called AuroraDash that I remember had their own music during run submission videos. But as long as your run is not like elite top 3, it should be fine. I reckon top times would probably be better to have the default music and sound to assist in verification.

Hey guys I’m thinking of running a smaller category Any% or Any% Peaceful (not glitchless) and let’s say I manage to WR, will I need gameplay audio? Cause in the rules it doesn’t say so, only for sub 2:05 for the glitchless category. My recording software doesn’t pick up gameplay audio if I’m wearing headphones. I’m just asking this in case I submit a run and only after months it may be rejected.

My RSG 1.14 run got rejected and the reason was "compact f3 is not allowed", what does this mean? Is it because I ran my game in a smaller window? The f3 screen still shows essentially everything. The run is here: if someone wants to take a look. You can skip to around 6 minute where i bring up the F3 screen to check my Y level.

Hi since I am new to speed running, I couldn't seem to find any rules on whether or not Dynamic Lights from Optifine is banned in the older Minecraft versions (1.14 and before). It is like Gamma in a way so I'm guessing it is not allowed?

You are supposed to leave Time blank and only fill in In-Game Time if you read the game rules. So yeah don't worry about real life time just look at the final in-game time when you finish your run.

Yep like palafrost says, Twitch stream is super good because you don't have to upload it to youtube which takes a while. I also play on Xbox and using Twitch is great cause the upload of the highlight is super fast. So what you do is launch Twitch on Xbox, start the stream, start playing, finish the run, and then stop the stream. You just need to create a highlight of your stream on the Twitch website and from there you can get the link and submit your run.

Anybody have any suggestions for recording Xbox gameplay? I can only record up to 10 minutes at a time so I can't even record the summit as my best on that chapter is 14:35.

I feel like the no fusestoppers category is useless, because it is basically identical to the any% category, which you're not even likely to use fusestoppers, as the iOS doesn't have any questions that are short on time.

The any% no skips category can be argued to be removed, as the 100% speedrun is also very similar, just you can't lose lives. But it is up to the moderator. There are extremely few people that have the iOS app, especially now since it's off the app store. So I think removing these 2 categories will be better.
