Thanks, updated the rules. Both windows 10 and windows 11 are allowed
Slowruns WILL be rejected. If you don't try to go fast then it's a valid rejection reason
Runs that are clearly not making an effort to beat the game's category quickly may be rejected.
Wouldn't this then become "Run 500 blocks as fast as possible"?
That's fine
Remember, timing starts when any player moves. And the person hosting the world MUST record
Indeed, we do allow launchers that let you downgrade the game.
We do not allow launchers with other kinds of features that would give an unfair advantage.
For Windows 10 and 11 I know of at least the following launchers which are ok and used by various runners:
The MCBE leaderboard will not be accepting videos uploaded to discord as proof
Starting today the moderators of Minecraft: Bedrock Edition and Minecraft: Bedrock Edition Category Extensions will be rejecting any new runs submitted with it's sole proof being a discord attachment.
Discord, a popular chatting application, which allows users to upload files to it's servers, will make the links users can copy expire after 24 hours. Submitting runs using such links will make the run unavailable for everyone shortly after, which is not something we want.
If you plan to upload a new speedrun to the speedrun.com leaderboard please consider an alternative solution, such as youtube, google drive, bilibili, or any other file hosting service. As long as it will be available for a long time and the moderators can download a copy of the video, it will be accepted.
As for currently affected speedruns, we have gotten in contact with the runners who's runs may be affected by this change and encouraged them to update their runs with a new video link.

I checked this link, but the date tab reads “Updated 7 years ago”, so I’m sure much has changed: https://www.speedrun.com/mcbe/resources/9nadq
Is there anything wrong with it? Does it not work?
-old versions: android
Practically piracy, unless you backed up earlier versions yourself or know the version number to get it from google directly, see https://raw.githubusercontent.com/minecraft-linux/mcpelauncher-versiondb/master/versions.json
Series mods don't add category extensions to maps or servers.
You should suggest some categories instead of asking for a whole category extensions page
While "as long as the video can be viewed" is fine, we strongly prefer to be able to download the video as well. That makes it easier to retime with common video editing tools, such as virtualdub or avidemux.
Google drive works well for that
Players that play on a windows 10 or windows 11 device usually use the following launcher

No. You can have as many players as the game allows

No not really If you enter the end you might as well just finish the game any% style. Either put down the portal or make a run for the end portal in the middle. Adds like 10 more seconds
