Welcome lightning speedrunners, while the game is in beta and possible what I say might be blown out of the window, this skill is most likely to stay and has a great use in this game for speedrunning.

Syncing is used mostly in Lvl 2 and 8 but other lvls can utilise it as well.

How to Sync your shot

There are two ways in syncing your shot, one more common than the other. There is G-sync where you shoot a rocket at the exact point where you restart the run by pressing the G button, which also resets the time. This is useful as the setup time isn't included and it can skip sections.

The second one is, s-sync where you shoot directly downwards and then press the shift button the catch the rocket falling and get the boost. This is mostly used midway a run to either get up a wall or propell forwards from a fall.
