Conquest% Galactic Civil War Era [My personal notes]

Few things you might want to know about using this guide:

"1=Rebels" = This means you have to pick the rebels team. The "1=" mean that it is the first option in the list. Since I am playing on Xbox, I can select my team with joystick. So in that case, I know that I can press the A button asap when the loading is done to start with the rebels.

"Only 1 CP" = There is only 1 CP avaiable at the start, which I can press the A button right away without worry to spawn at the wrong CP.

"3CPs (Top x2) = CP3" = There is 3 CPs avaiable at the start. On the Xbox version, when there is multiple CPs you can start out with, the one selected by default is always random. So "(Top x2)" tells me that I have to press up at least twice to be sure to sapwn at CP3.

Untill Mygeeto
Keep ennemy ship going up and down from Yavin4 to Felucia with save/load

Save Game
Save the game after every turn and every battles. No need to save when you are about to enter battle.

Inputs
Save: Start - Down x2 - A - A - A - A(this press move the ship)
Load: Start - UP x2 - A - Down/UP - A - A

General CP Capturing Advices
If you capture a CP and then leave right away the ennemy will mostly be able to make it fall back to neutral instantly (blue CP become white instnatly). To avoid this I believe you have to stay at the CP for few more seconds (I think this is what StingerPA refered as "Hard Capturing").

Sometimes it is better to fully capture a CP. An example would when using a auto-turret bonus or when you know the odds of them capturing it back is low and that it would far away to comeback there (ex:Yavin 4 CP7). Fully capturing can also be useful if you are going for "kill win" aka reducing ennemies reinforcements to 0.

Other times it is better to leave the CP in neutral state. Once the CP is in neutral state the ennemies can no longer spawn. The ennemy will also have drain down the blue color of the CP that gathered before capturing it again (or so I believe). It is better sometimes to leave a CP neutral and go focus on a CP that is about to be captured or need defending. A lot of my strategies involve taking ennemies CPs to at least neutral and then kill all the units before they take a another CP. This way they won't be able to spawn again.

Pre-Run Note

Righto, so with GC there’s a lot of rng and ai manipulation within the run and I would advise you to check out my ai manipulation guide before taking on a serious speedrun of GC because otherwise, you’re in for a long run, most likely over an hour.
Be aware that on pc I have soft locked the game multiple times when trying to do save/load ai manipulation strats, the screen just sits on a blank load save menu with the back option however its unable to be clicked, restarting game will need to occur in order to continue the run
The first part of doing a GC run for rebellion is to get the best spawn location for you and the empire ships on the map which requires a lot of restarting. 

Setup
-	After rigorous testing ive concluded that spawning on Hoth with the empire on Endor. 
-	The second best spawn is Hoth and Coruscant
-	Either spawn is fine to take as long as u can manipulate the ai into giving u a good run

-	Spawn on command post 4 and rush past command post 3 with intent on murdering Stormtroopers and capturing command post 2
-	Capture command post 2 and prepare for the yolo strat or safe strat
-	YOLO STRAT: Rush into command post 1 and capture it whilst killing all them Stormtroopers
-	SAFE STRAT: Camp in front of command post 2 and shoot down all the enemies exiting command post 1 and get victory through reinforcement

After taking control of polis masa your gonna want to save/load manipulate the ai into either skipping its turn or moving back towards endor in order to save time later on because if you do this enough then you will only need to destroy the enemy fleet once in the whole run.

2nd Map Mustafar
-	Purchase hero bonus
-	Spawn on command post 5 and rush 0 with obi-wan
-	Capture 0 to white then rush to command post 4 and capture completely
-	Run the long way towards command post 3 so that you can kill all the enemies heading to recapture
-	Capture command post 3

-	Don’t purchase any bonuses and start battle on utapou
-	Spawn at 1 and rush command post 4, when u get there shoot all enemies heading towards command post 5 to stop them from capturing it
-	After 4 is captured take command post 5
-	After 5 is captured rush command post 6 (Try find a good spot top sit where u wont get instantly killed)

4th Map Naboo
-	Spawn at 4 and rush 6
-	Capture 6 and rush command post 5, be prepared at any time during this level to respawn at either 6 or 4 because that’s where the empire love to go and try capture
-	After 5 is captured rush command post 4/1, depends if your ai has captured 1 for u which they will will great rng. 
-	Capture remaining command post/s

-	From naboo your gonna want to save/load manipulate the ai if it wants to move to the point connecting to naboo, if that happens then your going to lose time in the long run because naboo will be contested in another battle.
-	Keep following the turn map from the imgur link above
-	Purchase enhanced blasters for tatooine
-	Spawn at 4 and rush 3
-	Capture 3 and rush command post 2, be prepared at any time during this level to respawn at either 6 or 4 because that’s where the empire love to go and try capture
-	After 2 is captured rush command post 1, try ensure that no enemies head towards 4
-	Capture 1

-	Purchase Auto turrets for Felucia
-       Purchase Marksman
-	Spawn on command post 3 and rush capture command post 2, killin all enemy units nearby
-	If command post 4 is being captured then respawn on command post 4 and stop the enemy from capturing it otherwise Rush command post 1
-	Rush and capture command post 1
-	Rush command post 6
-	Respawn on any command posts being taken by the enemy
-	Side Note: Most of the time this level doesn’t go well so expect to have to kill units for victory

7th Map Kashyyk
- Spawn at command post 2 and simply take a speeder to capture both their command posts, nothing else to it, just some simple speed

Its likely that by this point in the run your so close to the enemy ship that the save/load manipulation is gonna have huge bullshit rng, so at this point your gonna want to settle for 2 space battles for the run most likely. Although, if u do have good rng then go right on ahead and continue to try get 1 space battle for the run

-	The inevitable Space Battle
-	Purchase sabotage bonus pre-emptively for this battle
-	If you have a transport ship take that and land in the enemy hanger
-	If you don’t have a transport ship then take a normal fighter and land in the enemy hanger
-	Destroy the internal systems of the enemy ship.
-	Take a bomber and destroy the frigate (if there is one) 
-	Continue with the bomber and destroy external systems of the enemy ship however if your score is around 160 and the enemy ship has shields then just destroy enemy fighters

Righto, lets head towards mygeeto for the next battle, save/load ai manipulate if u need to however if u have just taken part in a space battle then u wont need to.

8th Map Mygeeto
-	Purchase Hero bonus for Mygeeto
-	Spawn luke at command post 2 and rush command post 4
-	Capture 4 and kill all units on your war to command post 5
-	Capture 5

This is where the game gets tricky, with the enmy creating a fleet it would be great to save/load manipulate the ai to spawn at endor or skip their turn
Its likely that your going to need to do another defend level so just follow the previous notes on the level that they try to re take
After defending its pretty straight forward from here on, Purchase a hero bonus and take Coruscant
Purchase a sabotage bonus ready for the enemy space battle after coruscant because its pretty much ensured that its gonna happen.

9th Map Coruscant
-	Spawn on 6 and take luke to 3, kill all units going to 4 and rush capture 3
-	After 3 make sure no enemies are at 4 and rush command post 2 if its not captured by allies yet

A space battle is slower than regoing through coruscant or mygeeto so if the enemy ai goes the opposite direction so theres no space battle then keep that rng and purchase a leader bonus
Space Battle after coruscant and head towards endor for the final level.

10th Map Endor
- Purchase leader bonus
- Spawn at 6 and take a speeder to 3 and capture
- continue on the speeder and capture 2
- Go forward and capture command post 1

Pre-Run Note

-	Best spawn I have gotten is with Rebels on hoth and you either on endor or literally anywhere else. All should be good as long as rebels are on hoth initially

-	Purchase Leader bonus for later
-	Spawn at command post 4 and rush 2
-	Capture 2 and kill all enemies surrounding 2 making sure that no go towards 3
-	Allies will capture 3 whilst u rush command post 1 through the centre of the map, killing all enemies on your way
-	Capture 1 and check on command post 2 to make sure no one is retaking it

Before you get your second map the rebels will most likely be attacking mustafar and there will be no escape from this battle, so your gonna have to do it but this is why we got leader bonus to make it as fast as possible.
Defence on Mustafar
-	Spawn anikin on 0 and rush 5
-	Capture 5 and rush 2
-	After 2 is captured kill surrounding units and rush the final command post
-	Spam dash attacks to kill units while capturing 1 in order to stay alive
After you defend the enemy ship is going to be destroyed and they will place it on their next turn, you want them to place it on hoth or near hoth so that the next defence will be on mustafar again and not a space battle. Skipping their turn will delay the inevitable but also works in this situation

-	Spawn at 3 and get some units to follow u as you rush command post 5 and capture
-	Rush command post 6 although go along the hill so u can look over 4 and kill rebel troopers trying to head towards and capture 4

Galactic Conquest Tips: hero list/ai manipulation/ planet hero list

HERO LIST:

Heroes CIS

Darth Maul: OP saber throw is double anyone else so use it to its fullest potential, Dash attack is nice

Jango Fett: He is kinda good, you need to have good aim, Kashyyk is the the best level for him (my opinion)

General Grievous: Grievous is pretty bad.. he is good for close range fighting like in Base 2 on Dagobah, Dash attack is kinda good, it reaches far but doesn't always kill

Count Dooku: pretty bad, luckily you only see him on Geonosis (i think) his dash attack is bad as well as his force powers


Heroes Republic

Obi Wan: Obi wan is good he has lightsaber throw and a decent dash attack

Mace Windu: Decent, bad dash attack but fast normal attacks, only seen on Geonosis (i think)

Yoda: Yoda is small which is good, you aren't easy to hit. Dash attack seems to be the only fast way of killing enemies because his force powers suck.

Ki-Adi-Mundi: Bad Dash Attack but he has lightsaber throw and is easy to move around.

Aayla Secura: GREAT dual lightsaber are fast and easy to kill with as well as a lightsaber throw, sucks she is only seen on 1 map


Heroes Imperial

Boba Fett: Average.. his jet pack is the only good thing about him because he just has an award rifle + Detpacks

Darth Vader: REALLY FAST DASH but doesn't last long, good lightsaber throw and attacks

The Emperor: The only good part about the Emperor is his force lightning, wide range and lasts ages

Anikin Skywalker: a lot like obi wan, same dash attack and saber throw, only seen on Mustafar (pretty sure)


Heroes Rebellion

Chewbacca: Terrible, never get leader bonus for this guy, (crossbow sucks)

Han Solo: Decent, unlimited ammo pistol fires 2 shots at a time and easily kills

Luke Skywalker: Decent, same as most jedi, lightsaber throw and dash attack the same as yoda's

Princess Leia: "Meh" She has grenades and an award sniper

AI Manipulation

The ai in galactic conquest is pretty easy to manipulate into doing what you want it to do.
On the Galactic Conquest map the ai will spawn on a planet with a ship, move its ship to another planet/space or Skip during its turn.

The Save/Load Stratergy is used to manipulate what the ai does. (You need foresight for this trick)
For Example:

---------After you conquer a planet its best to save before the enemies turn!--------

The ai ship is on Naboo and wants to move to dagobah (which i control) and initiate a Battle. A defense battle would waste time
so an easy way to stop the ai from attacking dagobah is to load a save that you have previously done before the ai's turn.
After you have loaded your save that was done before the ai's turn, simply click done for it to take it's turn again, hopefully the ai will choose to move its ship to a different space/planet or even skip its turn. Near the end of the video i continuously load my save because im trying to manipulate the ai into skipping its turn so i have 1 less defense battle to fight.

Galactic Conquest Tips: Using keyboard for speed.

Most of the time, moving your mouse to do things can take a lot of time. Here are some tips I've come up with to help you out to make quicker runs. There aren't many that I know, but there are definitely some.

	• Tab: You can use the "Tab" button to switch between menus. This makes it much easier to move between Move, Bonus and Units.

	• Enter: This allows you to do the selected thing. If a planet is highlighted, you hit enter and it will select the planet. If you hit enter again, it will launch the attack. Hit enter again and it will pick the first bonus.

	• A/D: A and D are used in the Bonus and Units menu to quickly switch between troops and items. Good combo with "Enter"

	• Left Arrow/Right Arrow: Same as A and D

	• Space: Skip. If u dont wanna do a turn, do space + enter. Can also be used for not picking bonuses if you dont want to.

Here are some combinations i use:

	• Enter + Enter + Enter: automatically attack whatever is recommended.

	• Tab + D + D + ... + Enter: Purchase bonuses quite quickly. Spam the D many times to get to leader bonus if you want to do that

	• Enter + Enter + Space: Automatically attack whatever is recommended without bonuses

Some other tips:

	• When in space battle, start out hitting anywhere on their main ship. It takes down the shield just as fast as anywhere else (I don't know about taking it from the inside though, that may be faster.)

	•  Vehicles make fighting anywhere easier. AI's are not the best at them. If you are on a map with vehicles, you most likely dont even need any bonuses applied.

Sorry if some of these are obvious or already covered. Just sort of saying what i kind of figured out. Still new to speed running SWBF2.

Both Teams AI are pretty good, I’ve heard that villains will win 2/3 matches if the player doesn’t spawn though so there’s that, but while playing it’s a pretty steady ride for either. This means that the hero/villain you chose will pretty much decide how good you go. The following list of heroes is completly my opinion, some may disagree.

-	Luke:  Really quick, dash attack is more for speed than damage therefore you have to use it multiple times to get the same guy so its not very good
-	Yoda: Much the same as luke except smaller and attacks are pretty ehh
-	Mace Windu: Dash attack stops him in his tracks and does minimal damage. Jump attack is dodgy
-	Princess Leia:  having a good chuckle here, pretty horrible weapon so nah, no way
-	Aayla Secura: Most viable choice, good dash attack which recharges stamina and hits target right on, jump attack does pretty decent damage.
-	Ki-Adi-Mundi: Dash attack is pretty good but still second to that of Aayla Secura, normal attacks are also pretty neat.

-	I have noticed that the Ai seems to be less efficient after you reach about 100 score (unless that’s just me being slow lel)

-	Try and destroy any enemy fighters on the way for some extra early score.

-	With any luck you can catch enemy transport ship and get an easy load of score, if you find it easier go back and get your transport from enemy hanger and use it to get final kills

Im gonna run through both strats here and you can pick which you like because I find them to be very similar if rng is good
Strategy 1 (safe)
-	CIS
-	Run straight down the middle of command post 4’s usual spot while shooting gungans
-	Reach the area around the gate and just kill more gungans, pretty straight forward.
-	Decent time is around 50 sec to 1 min

Strategy 2 (risky but faster)
-	Gungans
-	Spawn and run towards the end gates and throw grenades on cis spawn points and small groups of cis units
-	If your lucky they will spawn and group up and you will ace it

Mos Eisley In Depth Guide (Thanks to DrFaithless for creating this little in depth analysis of Mos Eisley :D)

The new Strategy found by DrFaithless and Lako3000.

This new strategy for Mos Eisley saves around 30 seconds and maybe more in the future.  Since we have only just discovered its faster to use tuskens on August the 4th. we are currently trying to get the Percentage(%) of where abouts Jawa's Spawn off the start and after death, since both Myself and Lako think Mos Eisley spawn Ai's in waves, which leads to maybe being able to Manipulate the spawns in Said places, for example were currently testing a route of where the jawa's spawn in a bundle at their Command post and then respawn in mid-section of the map, each time we have done this it has worked the same with at least 5-6+ of the grouped Jawa's Spawning Mid after death. although sometimes this can be inaccurate and only 0-4 will spawn mid and they can bundle at where CP 2 is on Conquest, I have only seen this while checking the radar and Free Camera, so far in testing. This strategy has a lot of pros and cons. 

Some of the pros being: 
•	its faster, 
•	easier movement, 
•	 Generally, just not having to play as damn jawa's. 
•	Easy to lock down spawns
Now some of the Cons are: 
•	it CAN be inconsistent at Times due to Jawa's AI when you're not on their team is questionable 
•	Potential time loss to RNG
•	Possibly unsafe for less skilled runners of the category
•	Difficult to Execute, easy to die
Using the in-game Map helps.

A Quick Breakdown on the periodic Route:

1: Select Team Tusken 
2: Spawn as 'Tusken Hunter'
3: Depending on Spawn point run to the closest Notable spawn point Usually a CP from conquest or the Hunt CP but there's a graph below I made to help (make sure you check your radar it helps a lot)
4: Scout the map quickly Finding a bundle of Jawa's which spawned together, killing Jawa's on the way
5: Instead of ADS (Aiming down sights) try hip firing at all times as its faster but if you must ADS at some point feel free to do so as it's not that much of a time loss as long as you don’t do it too much

The first thing you probably realize is the Bundle of Spawn Around the Jawa's Command post on side streets this is the Best place to go off the start from our testing. I have done some percentage of Spawns off the start.

Percentage% of Jawa's start spawn per location from 100 map test:
Side Streets: 58%
Outer Ring: 3%
Centre point: 22%
High streets: 6%
Back Streets:11%

Although this is just the Starting spawns we have also worked out that as the battle goes on around 60% of the time within 1 minutes to 1 minute 30 seconds the Jawa's AI bundle together at location 'centre Point' ( I know its spelled 'center' it didn’t sound cool) which we previously knew before this Strategy discovery. Since the Jawa's only bindle 60% of the time around Centre point within the stated time here some other places they seem to spawn bundle:

Around command post 6
Top half of High street/ command post 3
By the Tusken command post and conquest command post 4
On the route to back streets just above 'centre point' shown below so people are not confused.

-	Pick up Darth Maul when command post 4 is captured and rush command post 3, makes sure there isn’t many enemy in going to 4 or you will risk them recapturing but don’t go out of your way to kill like 1 or 2 units.
-	After command post 3 is captured there is good rng where your allies would have captured command post 2, and theres bad rng where the enemy have captured command post 2.
-	If your allies captured 2 then your free to win by capture but if otherwise then rush command post 2 and capture for the win.
-	Reset if the republic recapture any command posts
-	Maintain Darth Maul throughout the level
YOLO Strategy
-	Yes, I have to put this in because there is always that slim chance that this works but it never has for me, Spawn and Rush command post 3 and kill as many units as possible to get a quick Darth maul and then rush 3 again, trying to make sure that no republic units escape towards command post 2 or capture command post 4. Probably get units to follow you at the start of the level, for luck.
