I was re-playing R-07 and found this new skip on the Hangar zone, i know its not any faster than the original skip, but i had the doubt that if it still counted as an allowed skip when speedrunning Any%? It probably is allowed but as you said it is slower (and by the looks of it a bit harder) than the normal route. For that reason I don't think this will be used in the run.
