Youtube is the easiest way to submit a run so I recommend it and you can make a youtube account for free, if you are worried about a friend seeing it or something you can make the video unlisted that way the only way to watch the video is from speedrun.com.

It's just a setting when you upload a Youtube video it means that the only way other people can watch the video is if they have the link to it.
You can use any other online video-sharing platform such as Twitch, you can even use something like TikTok if need be. Idk why you can't just get Youtube but that's none of my business. I hope this helped
