are runners allowed to play earlier versions of cc to achieve a better time?

if it's from Version 1.0 to 1.1 then it's allowed but anything less like Version 0.9.1 isn't allowed or any fan made versions. The only exceptions to this rule is for All Six or All Star speedruns because they require the newest patch
