NES top loader with a 3 screw Castlevania cart.
I used to speedrun Castlevania. Didn't have a means to tape myself then. I was nothing amazing, but I did have a few unique (read not very good) strategies of my own. This is a recreation of what I used to do back in 2008-2011. There's a few liberties that I took though, for sanity's sake. Mostly in level 1. I didn't really know how to get the watch consistently. Had a few things I thought manipulated it, but turns out... they were mostly rubbish. I now know a few slower early watch strats and attempt them here.
I remembered beating the game in 15 minutes usually, and this run matches that.
All came together nicely. The ol' square reliable was the missing piece. The buttons on the dogbone are just a bit too far away for my liking.
