I found out that if you pause in menu your time pauses too, so you use that time to move your mouse over what you want to buy, buy it, then quickly pause it again to minimize time in the menus (thank god it uses in game time)

also if you click one of your people (which i pause to do to save time) it opens the shop, this way you never need to move from under the block
