EVERYTHING You Need to Know To Speedun The Game.

This guide will cover everything you need to know to speedrun Ben 10: Savage Pursuit. The current WR is 7:16

I reccomend you try and copy the run as much as you can.

Miscellaneous:
Do not use the “race against time” version of the game. The first level won't have the green orb next to the boss entrance, so it gives you a worse time.
To run the game you must download Flashpoint Maxima Infinity. It's a flash game archive/emulator. You can get it here: https://bluemaxima.org/flashpoint/downloads/
If you don't get a good time at first, don't be discouraged! All of the top runners practiced for months to be so fast. Keep practicing and trying.

Controls:
You move using the arrows, press Z to enter the transformation screen: here you can press any arrow key to transform into one of four aliens: Wildmutt, Wildvine, Cannonbolt and Heatblast. Train yourself to transform as fast as possible by remembering the arrow key for each alien. 
Your main aliens are gonna be Cannonbolt and Wildvine. 
You can also press z after transforming to turn back into Ben. Each alien has an attack that you can use by pressing the space key. Over time, your alien bar will drain when transformed, it will drain faster when using the action/attack. 
As Ben, simply run forwards on the ground and jump to avoid obsticles, although you should take into account when there's an orb close by and if you really need to avoid something.
It's possible to skip the text at the start of the first 3 levels, just tap & release z then tap z again and forward at the same time to become cannonball right away! After the second level just one tap/hold is enough. If you try to transform on first tap in level 1 you will roll in place, can't move, wastes time and meter.
This saves a few seconds 6 whole times so you must use it to get WR! 

Movement:
The way you will be moving in this speedrun is by using cannonbolt, he is much faster than any other alien. You will be rolling on the ground and jumping whenever needed. when you jump you run out of your alien bar faster,so don't jump when you don't need to. To roll press space once, you don't have to hold it. 
Some gaps are a bit harder than others, so make sure you jump from the right place and hold back for a little bit while jumping before landing on a platform(somehow increases the chance of perfectly landing in the little area where you don't fall off), just don't hold back for very long, otherwise you lose all momentum. 
Try being as efficient as possible with your jumps, don’t just jump wherever! it can mess up later parts of the level because you might not have meter for the most optimal place to transform again. It's suggested you just jump wherever the world record does. There's sadly not much room for experimentation. Perfect the already established jumps and strategy.

Meter/Orbs:
Once you use an alien for long enough you will un-transform and run out of meter, it will slowly recharge by itself, but can be instantly re-filled with the green orbs scattered around the levels.
You need to collect all the green orbs you can. They will completely recharge your alien bar, basically tripling the amount of times you can use cannonbolt if you collect a lot of them. There's also orange orbs that recover your health points. Sometimes you can simply ignore the HP-draining obstacles because there's an HP orb close-by.

Text Skip:

To skip the animation and text at the beginning of the final boss, simply press SPACE.
This saves a few seconds 6 whole times so you must use it to get WR!  

Boss strategies:
(The only transformation you will need is wildvine, except for certain parts of the final boss)

Level 1(Hampster):

This boss is very simple. If you know how to beat him, you can even do it with only a half of your alien bar. Transform into wildvine right after entering the battle, just follow the boss and spam your attack as much as you can.
(you also can start attacking from half screen before the boss animation is complete to do even more damage.)
When he spits lava, turn back into Ben. When it's done, turn back into wildvine then you can beat him in a few seconds. A little trick with this boss is to already start moving and firing when the boss is About to move, you hit the boss more and stay closer to him, so it's faster. By perfectly utilizing this strat you can complete the boss in only 0:56 seconds, before it even starts spitting fire. This is a very advanced and frame-perfect strategy!
You can save some time by walking to the middle of the boss' dead body to instantly collect the device when it appears so you don't have to run to it when it dies. Do this for every boss.

Level 2(Fire Bird) :

This one is very easy, you just go up to the middle platform, go to the edge, spam Wildvine's attack. When the boss starts going to the other side, move to the other edge and keep attacking. You should be able to beat the boss before he even has time to do his first attack. 


Level 3(Giant Frog) :
When I tried doing level 3 I was left with not enough meter and had to wait until it recharges before entering. If you need to recharge before any boss, then don't enter before full meter or you'll recharge during the fight which obviously loses some time and messes up the speedrun strat. (Although this is the only level where you might have this problem).

When you enter the battle, start attacking the boss with wildvine, when the rocks fall you can attack him from a gap between the first and second rock(or even get hit by the rock on purpose to get closer to him), then go behind him and attack, he will turn around after a little bit and attack you with his tongue. Don't worry, just keep attacking. None of these bosses can do enough damage to kill you so quickly unless you go into them with low health somehow. After a few seconds you should have killed the boss. 


Final boss(Animo/Dinosaur):
the cutscene before the boss can be skipped by pressing the spacebar.
For this boss, there's not a set strategy that saves the most time. Experiment and use what you know to react accordingly to the movements and attacks.

When the dinosaur is on the ground it's reccomended to attack him from diagonal platform to whichever side it's on.
When the boss is on a platform, you can use wildvine right next to him, but that will take away about half of your HP. You can try escape before he bites you, but it will be difficult to time it properly and not 'get greedy'. It's safer to use heatblast to attack it from the opposite platform.  
The boss will appear on the same side on the ground after running offscreen from one of the platforms (left platform = left ground side). He will appear on the other side platform after running offscreen on the ground (left side ground = right side platform). Use this to predict where he will be and position yourself.
(Seems like by holding forward while attacking with heatblast the fire comes out somewhat faster. If you try this, Don't do it from the edge or you might fall down).

One Cycle is possible on the Hamster Boss.

You can kill the Hamster boss before he goes invincible. I believe it has something to do with the positioning; because Wildvine's projectiles have travel time you want to be up in the hamster's face for as much time as possible. This is just a theory I might be wrong. I've tried to replicate it since with no success. It seems a little tricky.
