Abbreviation Guide

Abbreviations are confusing. This guide should help. If you want to make updates, message a moderator.

* **IGT** (*in-game time*): time taken from the timer in the game itself, in this case, from Mission Success.
* **LoR/LoRNM**: refers to the trials *The Law of Retribution* and *The Law of Retribution: Nightmare*.
* **JV**: refers to the trial *The Jordas Verdict*.
* **RTA** (*real time attack*): a single continuous timer that runs from the beginning of the run to the end.
* **SRC** (*speedrun.com*): this website.
* **TSD**: refers to the quest *The Second Dream*.
* **TWOL** (*time without loads*): a run where the final time does not include time spent loading; this method is not applicable to this leaderboard.
* **TWL** (*time with loads*): a run where the final time includes time spent loading.
* **WSR** (*Warframe speedruns*): this leaderboard, but can also refer to the team that runs this leaderboard.

Builds: General Speedrun Builds (WIP)

The most requested mechanic of speedrunning in Warframe is what to build and what to run. This guide will help you as a starting point into customizing your builds towards something more familiar to you. These builds should be goals to work towards and not necessarily requirements to start speedrunning. Aiming for a build close to the suggested can be ideal. Please note that these builds are for solo play, as group play has significantly different compositions.

We would like to emphasize that all these builds are **simply suggestions and not built-into-stone meta builds**. Meta builds are extremely variable; they will change with the content being speedrun and can potentially change with every patch released. These builds are from recommendations by community members and are meant to be timeless as long as the movement stays consistent through Warframe's development.

Please note that speedrunning mostly involves movement of a Warframe or the use of a specific set of Warframe abilities. Therefore, this guide focuses solely on Warframe builds. Weapons are situational and can change frequently as new and better weapons are released. However, we recommend using the melee weapon [Telos Boltace](https://warframe.fandom.com/wiki/Telos_Boltace), as the weapon will give bonus parkour movement when equipped (not necessarily held).

# Banshee
An AoE-focused build utilizing Sound Quake as a form of crowd control with some damage. This build emphasizes use for Interceptions and Defenses with a mediocre use for Survivals. [Arcane Reverb Helmet] is recommended for this build.

# Ember
An AoE-focused build utilizing the damage multiplier from Accelerant combined with the damage from World of Fire. This build emphasizes use for Exterminates and Mobile Defenses with a lesser extent towards Interceptions, Defenses, and Survivals. [Arcane Phoenix Helmet] is recommended for this build.

# Equinox
An AoE-focused build utilizing the combination of ability strength multiplier from Provoke with [Peaceful Provocation] with the slash damage potential from Maim. This builds emphasizes use for Exterminates, Mobile Defenses, Defenses, and Interceptions with a lesser extent towards Survivals.

# Gauss

# Loki
**Difficulty:** Easy

* **Description:** Loki is one of the original speedrunning frames due to having the highest sprint speed out of all the Warframes. This build is easy to use and play as it involves skipping (nearly) all enemies with Invisibility, who will be unable to aim at you directly.

* **How the build works:** Loki's build shines with maximum Sprint Speed and as much Power Duration to push the duration of Invisibility. You will mainly be sprinting to the objective and to extraction while invisible, making this Warframe super easy to play.

* **Deviations:** The main components of this build are [Sprint Boost], [Speed Drift], [Armored Agility], [Rush], and [Coaction Drift] (not shown here). These mods will push Loki's Sprint Speed to over 2.00 when playing solo. The other mods are highly preferential and can be tuned to your needs or playstyle. Deviating from the five core mods is generally not recommended.

# Nezha

# Nova
**Difficulty:** Challenging

* **Description:** Currently one of the most used Warframes for speedrunning due to her instantaneous Wormhole (*not Worm Hole*) ability. Tileset knowledge is crucial and newer players may experience frequent impacts with walls and other objects. Due to the frequent usage of Wormhole, players using Nova may require constant energy resulting is a massive amount of Energy Pads utilized.

* **How the build works:** This build capitalizes on using Wormhole almost exclusively. [Escape Velocity] is crucial for more speed after traveling through a Wormhole. [Primed Continuity] affects how long [Escape Velocity]'s buff lasts (default is 7 seconds at 100% Power Duration) and to counteract the deficiencies of [Fleeting Expertise]. Power Efficiency is capped at 175% to use less Energy Pads as you are constantly spamming Wormhole. [Natural Talent] increases cast speed of Wormhole. [Stretch] pushes the Wormhole distance to 72.5 meters, which many players consider the "goldilocks zone" of her portals. [Quick Thinking] is for minimal survivability. Movement mods have been added.

* **Deviations:** [Streamline] can be replaced with [Endurance Drift] for more movement over efficiency. [Quick Thinking] can be replaced with [Redirection] as an alternative survivability option. [Quick Thinking] can be replaced with [Armored Agility] for a full glass build.

# Nyx
**Difficulty:** Medium

* **Description:** Nyx is unique Warframe as her uses in speedrunning are limited, but she dominates those limits. The most noticeable advantage of this build is that Nyx requires no forma invested. However, Nyx is also in a unique situation where she is entirely dependent on the type of gear she wears and uses. Nyx capitalizes on extreme forms of parkour movement with dodge rolling by using the combination of [Arcane Menticide Helmet], which adds Parkour Velocity, increasing the distance of her rolls. This can potentially make Nyx one of the more expensive Warframes to invest into. The difference in Nyx and Nyx Prime can be critical, as Nyx Prime has an extra Vazarin (D) polarity. Nyx can be built without a forma, provided that she does not utilize her exilus slot. Usage of Nyx is very niche and is normally not recommended for general speedrunning.

* **How the build works:** As stated before, Nyx is heavily reliant on her [Arcane Menticide Helmet] to reach her maximum potential due to its added Parkour Velocity. For the build, the mods added are just to further her velocity in the form of more Sprint Speed, further Bullet Jump, and less Friction. [Coaction Drift] provides an unseen buff to [Sprint Boost] from 15% to 19.8%.

* **Deviations:** Removal of the reduced Friction mods can help for many players who feel Nyx slides too much, but there's no satisfactory replacement of these mods, except for survivability purposes.

# Rhino

# Titania
**Difficulty:** Variable

* **Description:** Titania is speed incarnate. Nothing is off-limits with Titania due to her augment, Razorwing Blitz, allowing unmatched speed customisation from comfortable to crossing open worlds in seconds. A true platform for buildcraft experimentation, Titania builds are much more subjective and involved than any other speed-frame. Razorwing allows for full flight movement meaning she does not have the same restrictions grounded frames like Volt and Nova have in terms of freedom of navigation.
**Note: Always jump before casting Razorwing, as the cast time is much lower when in the air.**

* **How the build works:** The build is a well rounded setup that will be capable in all situations. Firstly, the Pull ability (subsumed from Helminth) is used to activate [Razorwing Blitz] stacks, as it has a much shorter cast time than Spellbind. It is important to compensate for the lost benefit of status immunity (stagger/knockdown, magnetic procs) if you do not use Spellbind. [Primed Sure Footed] completely nullifies the staggers that occur when driving Razorwing into a wall. [Sure Footed] requires the use of [Motus Setup] and [Motus Impact] on shotgun (Sweeper sentinel weapon can hold this mod) and melee respectively to reach the same 100% immunity. 
[Natural Talent] and [Speed Drift] are mandatory on every speed build as they reduce the extremely long cast time of Razorwing and also the ability used to proc [Razorwing Blitz] stacks. Efficiency is an important stat to have in almost all builds, with [Streamline] and [Fleeting Expertise] providing the best longevity for longer missions like spies. Duration is preferential based on situation. [Primed Continuity] and [Narrow Minded] provides the best bang for buck when attempting to stretch out the duration of your Blitz stacks. Strength is preferential based on confidence in play and personal build theory. [Intensify] is a great all-rounder starting point, with 1-2 [Razorwing Blitz] stacks being the most common amount for this Strength. 
Prime Arcane choices include [Arcane Nullifier] for any mission that may give you a Magnetic proc, [Arcane Avenger] for a free DPS boost (very easy to proc even accidentally as it procs off wall staggers), and [Arcane Precision] for DPS. 

* **Deviations:** Every part of the build besides cast speed can be customised to preference. This is one of Titania's great strengths as builds can be crafted to the exact wishes of the user. Bumping up the Strength will provide extra speed and Dex Pixia DPS. This can be used to reach a high speed at a lower stack count or to reach higher speeds at the same stack count (useful for larger tilesets like Jupiter). When experimenting with Stength, suggestions include trying [Transient Fortitude], [Umbral Intensify] (for a middle ground), and even [Blind Rage] for very experimental 1-stack builds. Note that as you lower strength, your weapon effectiveness against capture targets and tanky enemies goes down, which can negatively affect these sorts of missions.
For Duration, it is advised to base Duration off the intended situation. High stack builds will have lots of duration available (the duration from 1 Blitz stack adds onto the current Blitz timer) therefore tuning down Duration can still make the buff last for the entire mission. Low stack builds such as an Infested Mobility setup (Infested Mobility buff lasts the same as 1 stack of [Razorwing Blitz] which the ability procs on cast, making a 1-button-press fast speed build at the cost of some Pixia DPS) will want high duration to squeeze out as much duration as possible out of a single stack. 
[Preparation] is a prime QOL choice for long mission builds if you have the space. If there's any free space on a build that you don't know what to do with, sprint speed mods increase Razorwing speed slightly (but not as efficiently as strength does) and survivability mods can help in missions that you expect to receive damage in. [Arcane Energize] can be useful for certain missions like exterminates and some bosses but won't see a use in captures, spies etc. 

* **Helminth:** Infested Mobility, Molt, and Fire Walker increase Razorwing speed. Fire Walker provides too low of a bonus to have any substantial effect. Molt speed boost has an extremely low duration that conflicts with [Razorwing Blitz] timers, however it can be useful for 4 stack builds (40-80% Strength). Infested Mobility duration perfectly lines up with [Razorwing Blitz] duration and works very well for a 1-stack build. Pull is the best option for replacing Spellbind as a simple [Razorwing Blitz] proc stick as it has the lowest cast speed of the spammable abilities in Helminth selection (besides Molt which is instant). 
Roar, Eclipse, Shock (with [Shock Trooper]) and Smite (with [Smite Infusion]) will improve boss and target damage. Rest & Rage (in the Rage form) will speed up many boss invulnerability actions and make them more susceptible to damage. Thermal Sunder is an experimental theory option for small scale room nuking. [Arcane Energize] is a must for a build like this.

# Volt
**Difficulty:** Easy

* **Description:** Volt is the definition of "*gotta go fast*." Volt's Speed ability grants Movement Speed to himself and other allies which can be affected by Power Strength. More advanced parkour maneuvers are not necessary with Volt, as this will sacrifice his increased movement, making Volt one of the easiest Warframes to use when speedrunning.

* **How the builds works:** [Blind Rage], [Transient Fortitude], and [Intensify] increases Speed to a 2.42x multiplier for Movement Speed. Paired with [Primed Continuity] and [Narrow Minded], the Speed will last for 22.65 seconds. Power Efficiency is kept low, because Speed only will cost 39 energy per use, which is maintainable if you are properly managing your energy pool. [Primed Flow] helps keep your energy pool rich with energy for Volt when speedrunning. [Shocking Speed] is a fantastic utility for Volt due to the augment being able to destroy obstacles like Nullifier Gates and to open crates for energy orbs to be collected. This augment is not affected by the reduced Power Range.
**Note: This images uses [Arcane Storm Helmet], which adds an additional 20% Power Strength, or roughly a 0.05x multiplier. This makes this limited helmet negligible in its use.**

* **Deviations:** This build can be changed heavily to fit your preferences. The general rule of thumb is that you are safe with a 45% Power Efficiency, as the cost for Speed is only 39, and [Shocking Speed] is an extremely helpful augment with a sentinel companion. Generally, anything above 300% Power Strength might be considered *too much* Movement Speed, but many Volt mains have argued otherwise.

# Wukong
**Difficulty:** Easy
* **Description:** Wukong is a mild alternative to Titania. His Cloud Walker ability possesses the same 3D movement as Razorwing, however it is much slower than even a conservatively built Titania Razorwing Blitz speed build and cannot be made any faster. The upsides to Wukong include his exceptional base survivability and much simpler activation of Cloud Walker (press the button to go in, shoot/melee to go out quickly). 

* **How the build works:** Cloud Walker, no longer being affected by sprint speed and movement speed buffs, scales only off Duration, Efficiency, and cast speed. [Narrow Minded], [Primed Continuity]/[Continuity], [Augur Message], [Constitution], [Streamline], [Fleeting Expertise], [Natural Talent], and [Speed Drift] (in Exilus) will create a fully rounded build. The Aura slot is down to preference and the final mod slot is also down to preference. 

* **Deviations:** Change the build as you see fit.

* **Helminth:** Cloud Walker speed does not scale off abilities like Molt and Fire Walker therefore his biggest downside cannot be overcome with Helminth. Roar, Eclipse, Shock (with Shock Trooper) and Smite (with Smite Infusion) will improve boss and target damage. Rest & Rage (in the Rage form) will speed up many boss invulnerability actions and make them more susceptible to damage.

The goal of this guide is to provide a friendly reminder on what rules pertain to speedruns of this game.

If you need assistance, feel free to contact any of the moderators through Discord.

# Run Philosophy

This leaderboard is considered to be largely glitch-free. If you see a glitch that seems easily avoidable, it is probably not allowed.

# Global Rules

- Beacons are banned.
- Platinum usage is banned.
- [Invigoration](https://warframe.fandom.com/wiki/Helminth#Invigoration) buffs of any kind are banned.
- Intentional out-of-bounds or wall-glitching techniques are forbidden. This applies to companions [(Master's Summons)](https://warframe.fandom.com/wiki/Master's_Summons).
- All runs for any category require single-segment video proof, unless explicitly stated.
- Alternative mission variants (nightmare, fissures, et al.) do not satisfy the original mission's node requirements.
- Items, Warframe build swaps, and revives are allowed, unless explicitly stated.
- The HUD should be on.

## Co-op Specific

- Co-op runs must begin and end with the same players.
- You may not run missions in parallel for Co-op runs.
- Any intentional disconnects/crashes will invalidate your submission for Co-op runs.

# Moderator Guidelines

This section is to provide clarity for how Warframe leaderboard moderators conduct business here.

- Verifiers reserve the right to reject a submission for any number of reasons, including, but not limited to, poor quality, rule breaking, cheating, or misrepresentation. Verifiers are **NOT** allowed to reject runs based on bias of any kind. Contact the verifier that rejected your run for more details on the decision before contacting higher ranking moderators.
- Runs can be verified anywhere from a couple minutes to a maximum of 30 days. Please be patient and allow the verifiers sufficient amount of time to review your submission before contacting them.
- Leaderboard verifications will be placed on hold for up to one week after every major update to allow Digital Extremes time to send out hotfixes to address bugs with the update.
- "Testing" a moderator's ability to verify a run is considered a bannable offense from speedrun.com [according to site staff](https://www.speedrun.com/The_Site/thread/6sknq). Offenders will be notified to site staff in extreme cases.
- All runs can be disputed with proper claims, including a moderator's run. Please contact a moderator to discuss the legitimacy of a run.

# First Action Rule

**First Action** is a method used to highlight *when* a runner starts an attempt of a category. It is mostly utilized for the highly accurate frame counting, where verifiers and runners use it as an agreed starting reference for timing. While this rule is meant to stamp out loading issues, simply standing around at the beginning for an excessive amount of time can result in your submission being rejected for AFKing.

## First Action is defined by the following criteria:

- Any mouse or thumbstick movement to look around.
- Use of any gear item.
- Any movement of the Warframe.
- Opening the Pause menu.

## Things that are not considered First Action:

- Opening the gear wheel. Please note that **moving** your cursor is considered First Action. This bullet point is mostly used to verify proper gear items.
- Opening the overlay map (not the expanded map from the open-world content).
- Viewing the **quick view** mission summary. This is defaulted to Tab on PC only.

Please note that categories may NOT have First Action applied to them, such as the Capture categories. Always check the rules for each category for timing standards.

# Macro Rules

- Macros that press multiple keys are not allowed. 
- One action macros (rebind macros) are allowed.
- A single autofire macro (single-button spam) is allowed.

# Frequently Asked Questions

**What is the accepted timing standard for this category?**
If not explicitly stated, then the timing standard falls underneath the one of three timing standards explained in [this guide](https://www.speedrun.com/wf/guide/oe489).

**For certain categories, what order should I complete the missions in?**
For most cases, there is no order to the missions you need to do. Feel free to take on whatever order you like.
For certain categories where there is an obvious progression metric (e.g. Mastery Ranks 1-10), you should follow the mission completion in order of that metric.

**What does it mean to be Single-Segment for this game?**
Single-segment is anything and **everything** between the official start and official end of a run (check the rules for the category). This includes time spent in the Liset, loading, and relay areas (if applicable).

Single-segment for this game will use the following criteria:

- One running timer, no pauses - see https://www.speedrun.com/wf/guide/oe489.
- Breaks are allowed for majority of the categories, but the time taken during the break must be part of the time of the run.
- Game crashes and reloads are considered part of a segmented run. If a crash occurs, then UNLESS it is a part of the run for a good reason, the run is invalidated as being single-segment. Public runs that are a part of a marathon are excluded from this.

**Are exploits, glitches, etc. allowed?**
If it's going to be patched or if you have any doubts, don't attempt it.
Generally, any form of OOB or wall-glitching is not allowed.

**Why differentiate Solo and Co-op runs?**
This allows for a better system of record-keeping and allows players to review runs that fit their playstyle. Certain categories also ban Co-op due to potential verification issues.

**Why are certain categories or runs listed as "LEGACY"?**
Situations for these categories cannot be recreated anymore - that is, it would be unfair to compete against times that have a blatant advantage against runs that could be done now due to changes in speed, loading, or other factors. The game is changing constantly and these leaderboards attempt to make as little changes as possible, but it has to stay adaptable.

**Why are some bosses like Phorid removed from certain categories?**
Because these bosses are either randomly active (which conflicts with the idea that speedruns should generally be accessible at any time) or are undeniably hard to access via many attempts (i.e. Corrupted Captain Vor, Mutalist Alad V). For the most part, the categories are made to be as runner-friendly as possible - RNG is already a major factor in most node runs, and preventing a runner from getting a potentially good run just because the server makes it near-impossible to do so is quite annoying.

**(Historical) Why are Dark Sectors removed from some categories?**
Because they were originally PvP-based and would therefore go against the spirit of a speedrun due to variability in player interaction. This would also invalidate the run as being a "solo" effort. Dark Sectors are also slated for an update in the near future, but with no plans on what exactly the old nodes will be turned into at this current moment.

**(Historical) There is already a leaderboard for raids. Why do these categories exist here?**
As with all speedruns - if there is no video proof, we can't necessarily believe it (except in certain situations).
This board should also serve as the defacto boards for *legitimate* runs that are glitchless (or glitch less) and shows the mechanical expertise of the players.

**Do events and invasions count towards category completion?**
No. Do not attempt to substitute these random occurrences with specific nodes in your run - they are banned.

Meta: Timing Standards

With a recent timing changes to the full-game leaderboards, it is time the standard was written for clarity to avoid confusion. There are three accepted timing methods for any category that does not have timing explicitly specified in the category rules.

# In-Game Time
Popularly abbreviated as IGT, this is the easiest, but least accurate method of timing. This uses the timer located at the Mission Success/Failure screens and does not require any other extra steps from the runner. Simply showcase your run and then take the time at the end which is then inputted into your submission.

IGT works best for multi-mission speedruns under the Full-game Leaderboard, since it allows a metric to bypass loading times. For single missions, IGT can actually be slower than a timer or framecounting.

## IGT Standards
* The entire run from the [First Action Rule](/wf/guide/0zwnh#ch3_First_Action_Rule) to Mission Success must be shown in your video. Cutting any portion of your video will result in your submission being rejected.
* For multiple missions, you are __**REQUIRED**__ to provide your Mission Success times in the description of your submission. You can use this [spreadsheet](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1CJVmprnXwLyX6A-zpCnf8JVgfvZaS1aMCM8UeXpdn-E/edit?usp=sharing) (also available under Resources) to calculate your final time for submission.
* For multiple missions, you are not allowed to abort any portion of your submission, except in the case that the mission turns into a different objective. Aborting will be considered multi-segment and invalidate your time. If you need to abort a mission during your run, consider using one of the below timing standards instead. If the mission turns into a different objective, it has to be visible enough to not dispute and you are expected to immediately abort the mission and reattempt it.
* For cooperative missions, only the host's times will be considered due to a known timing difference between host and clients. A run must have the video taken from the host's perspective or an image of the host's Mission Success screen __must__ be included in the description with the client's video.

# Third-Party Timer
This uses a program separate from Warframe to record the time during the run. The most commonly used timer is LiveSplit, but more is located on the [Resources](/resources) page.

This type of timing is considered Real-Time Attack (RTA).

## Timer Standards
* The timer must be present for the entirety of the speedrun being timed (not necessarily the whole video).
* For single missions, time begins upon First Action and ends on the first frame you lose control of the Warframe.
* For multiple missions, time begins when first Mission is selected and ends on the first frame when the Mission Success screen appears for the last mission.

# Framecounting
This is the most accurate method of timing available. It is a calculation of the difference between two frames of reference in a video divided by the FPS.

This type of timing is considered Real-Time Attack (RTA).

## Framecounting Standards
* You must provide the first frame, the last frame, and the frames per seconds used to calculate the final time in the description of your submission.
* In the case of dispute by a verifier of final time, you will be asked to provide the raw footage used to calculate your final time. If a consensus is not agreed upon by the verifier, a separate moderator, and yourself, the slower of the two times will be used to represent the run's final time.

## Framecounting Tools
* You can framecount on YouTube using the [YouTube Frame Timer](https://mattbraddock.com/yt-frame-timer/). Properly follow the directions on the page and you should output a nearly accurate time, with differences only in the milliseconds.

Quest: Chains of Harrow Guide

**SPOILERS if that wasn't obvious.**

**Mission Overview:**
*The following missions will have to be completed in order to succesfully complete the quest:*

* Investigate the Message - Earth
* Meet Palladino at Iron Wake - Earth
* Find Rell's Relic - Pluto
* Return to Iron Wake - Earth
* Capture Rell's Manifestations - Derelict
* Capture Rell's Manifestations - Uranus
* Capture Rell's Manifestations - Earth
* Enter The Temple - Void

Please read the rules by pressing the "View Rules" button on the CoH category.
Time starts when "Replay Quest" button is pressed and ends on last victory screen.

*Small tips before you start the run:*
Making Navigation start on Earth. This saves around 2-3 seconds of the animation zooming out of another planet and onto Earth. It's done by starting a run on Earth and either aborting or completing it before hand, so last mission started is on Earth.
It is possible to restart the entire quest before having completed the first mission, but if the first mission have been completed the entire quest will have to be completed again before a new run can be started. (If anyone knows of a way to restart the quest completely after first mission has been completed please tell me.)
Having completed the quest before hand is a important recommendation since it skips the requirement to press the button to leave Iron Wake.

*Recommended setup is:*
Frame: Nova ([recommended build for beginners](http://i.imgur.com/K8vXPAC.jpg) )
Any Primary and Secondary that can deal enough damage to one-shot the zombies and charge Antimatter Drops.
Melee: Telos Boltace (for it's bullet jump passive, which is always active even though the weapon is not equipped in the hand)
Nova is extremely fast because you have to ability to run fast in small corridors but portal through long halways by using Wormhole. Make sure always to have Escape Velocity active for extra sprint speed. A guide on how to use nova to speedrun is in the making.

*How to practice:*
Most of this run is the exact same tileset all the way through, which means completing the quest a couple of times to learn the tileset is a good way to practice.
Another way to learn the tileset is go start the quest and do each mission until extraction, but abort instead completing it. That way you can redo individual missions if you're having a hard time with a specific one.

**Mission strategies:**
*Investigate the Message - Earth*
This mission contains a few triggers you'll have to activate before a mobile defense like mission is activated where you have to protect Palladino. The triggers are pre-set so going there and looking at them before lotus asks you to is the fastest way to go. Triggers are in order:
 ¤ Dead grineers
 ¤ Red Veil logo in blood
 ¤ "You cast him out" written in blood
after this you'll have to wait for dialog before a door opens where you can run and activate the Palladino mobile defense. Make sure to not leave Palladino before extraction waypoint appears since this can softlock the mission or atleast require you to go back to her.

*Meet Palladino at Iron Wake - Earth*
Rush into the room with Palladino, make sure to spam your operator key (default: 5) to go into the cutscene as fast as possible. When cutscene is done you don't have to press the button in order to leave you can abort from escape menu, but make sure that the waypoints shift, else it will not count the mission as completed and you'll have to redo it.

*Find Rell's Relic - Pluto*
The first trigger is the text: "he suffers while you dream" written in blood on the wall, afterwards a dialog between Lotus and Palladino will appear and when done a door will open allowing you to proceed.
Rell's Relic will require you to press x, so standing on top of it looking at it will spamming x is recommended.
To survive the zombies you can use Molecular Prime and Antimatter Drop to slow and kill large groups of zombies easily.

*Return to Iron Wake - Earth*
Same strategy as "Meet Palladino at Iron Wake" for the first and last part.
In the middle there will be a short card game. A card will appear and in each of the corners there will be a word. The words are fixed, but their position aren't. This means the order the words appear in is always the same, but their position is not. The order is:

* Sad
* Embarresed
* Nervous
* Confused
* Grumpy
* Happy

*Capture Rell's Manifestations*
There's 3 of these missions on Derelict, Uranus and Earth. It's always the same tileset for the individual planets, but the manifestations sometimes appear different places (more testing required). Only recommended tips is to learn the mission and be sure to have bound Kinetic Trap to a hotkey for faster use.

*Enter The Temple - Void*
This last missions fight is a mess, the only way I know to complete it fast is to go for the head of the Red Veil assasins. If anyone know how to complete this faster and/or without dying as many times, please pm me.

Quest: The Second Dream Guide

Please read the rules by pressing the "View Rules" button on the TSD category.

This quest is more popular to run RTA, however IGT is still an option.

## Mission 1 : Spy Mission
**Strategy:** Hack both consoles.
* This step can be constantly repeated as long as you do not complete it. Simply Abort, return to the Codex, Cancel Active Quest in the bottom right, and restart The Second Dream.
* The countdown to failure for the first console is too slow and you will end up at extraction waiting for it to complete.

## Mission 2 : Sentient Fragment
**Strategy:** Run to the objective, wait for the dialog until Interact appears, then proceed to extraction.
* The location to progress to the quest in second sharkwing area is always the same. It's a little tunnel on the left side of tile.

## Mission 3: Stalk Stalker
**Strategy:** Complete the objectives.
* The void key will spawn in front of the portal (versus behind the console in older runs).
* After you interact with the console in front of the moon, run to the locked door and wait in front of it until it unlocks. Check videos around 7 minutes if confused.
* You can roll through the electricity fields to avoid minimal damage. Otherwise, you'll die.
* The pattern after the console hack is: closest > opposite corner > same side > opposite corner.
* Using a beam weapon such as Ignis can help if you have a hard time shooting the tubes.
* Pray for no elevator RNG and spin2win Conculyst.

## Mission 4: Protect the Moon
**Strategy:** Complete the objectives.
* You do not need to fight the Stalker during this mission.
* Having a cloaking companion can mess with the security eye. It's highly recommended to not bring a Huras or Shade.
* Standing on one of the two closest platforms closest to the security eye spawn will guarantee one will be destroyed initially.
* Have the security eye aim at you from behind the pillar and offset yourself so the pathway hits the pillar from the side. Screenshot: [soon]
* The security eye does slash damage. Blocking with your melee can mitigate most of the damage it does.
* The bridge before the final door has a trigger. Take extra care not to miss this trigger or you'll lose time trying to make it up.
* Don't hug the final door while waiting for it to open, you'll bug into it and have to /unstuck.

## Mission 5: Save the Reservoir
**Strategy:** Run to extraction.
* Overlay map can help for the bigger tiles. It'll take practice still for knowing where it actually leads you to.
* You do not need to kill any of the Conculysts/Battalysts and you are invincible when carrying your operator.
* A frame perfect trick called "Moon Walk" can be achieved by spamming the roll button right after the cinematic ends. This will allow your frame to shoot forward for a single roll and activate a weird looking walking bug.

## Mission 6: Face Stalker
**Strategy:** Beat Stalker and then select options until completion.
* The Stalker is notorious for bugging out in some fashion. Please ensure moderators are aware of any bugs with him.
* Just tap your fire at the Stalker slashes.
* Choose the bottom options during the dialogue.
* If you're using keyboard/mouse, try not to move your cursor too much, so you stay hovered over an option.
* Use Owl voice to significantly shave a couple seconds off your time.

# Getting Started
*Small tips before you start the run: *
Making Navigation start on Lua. This saves around 2-3 seconds of the animation zooming out of another planet and onto Lua. It's done by starting a run on Lua and either aborting or completing it before hand, so last mission started is on Lua. 
It is possible to restart the entire quest before having completed the first mission, but if the first mission have been completed the entire quest will have to be completed again before a new run can be started. (If anyone knows of a way to restart the quest completely after first mission has been completed please tell me.) 
The mission is known for being quite buggy and crashes alot more than normal missions. So if you encounter a softlock alt-f4 and log back in fast. For this part it is ofc allowed to blacken / blur out your email in the login screen.

*Recommended setup is:*
Frame: Nova ([recommended build for beginners](http://i.imgur.com/K8vXPAC.jpg)) 
Nova is extremely fast because you have to ability to run fast in small corridors but portal through long halways by using Wormhole. Make sure always to have Escape Velocity active for extra sprint speed. A guide on how to use nova to speedrun is in the making. 
Any Primary and Secondary 
Melee: Telos Boltace (for it's bullet jump passive, which is always active even though the weapon is not equipped in the hand) 
Archwing: Itzal (highest sprint speed). Whatever archwing you use it's important to have a maxed [Hyperion Thrusters](http://warframe.wikia.com/wiki/Hyperion_Thrusters) on since this will make you fly faster.
You can ofc use any setup you want, this is just the current meta for going fast and that's why it's recommended to new speedrunners.

*How to practice:*

# Mission Strategies
*Investigate the Reservoir*
The first trigger zone seems to always be a little delayed if you rush it, so waiting around might be a must. Afterwards capture the specter as fast as possible spamming x when it's going to save a few milliseconds and proceed to extraction.

*Stalk Teshin*
Rush to Teshins specter, capture it, and rush to extraction. After this, a conversation and dialog will have to end before you can proceed to next mission. Use this time to zoom into Sedna as this is where the next mission is. Saves the couple of seconds it takes to zoom out from previous planet and onto Sedna

*The Asteroid Field*
This is an archwing section be remember to have your archwing prepared (read "recommended setup" in the start of the guide for tips). In the start it seems the fastest way to move is by holding space and w at the same time while looking a little downwards. ([example](https://youtu.be/rWJiZjSkWO4?t=4m38s)).
For the next part you would normally have to hide from lasers behind a grineer ship for 2 areas, but the second one can be skipped. The skip starts when the waypoint from the grineer ship changes to somewhere else inside a hole. You rush to the next lasers and die from them, after reviving you will get a short period of invulnerability. While this invulnerability active, hold down space and rush into the main ship and leave archwing. You will know it succeed if you succesfully leave archwing and regain control. After the invulnerable period you will die from being detected by the lasers when invulnerable, but because you triggered next waypoint when you left archwing, you will spawn inside and can proceed to the next mobile defense part ([example](https://youtu.be/rWJiZjSkWO4?t=6m7s)).
After mobile defense part rush to extraction/entry to next stage, here you again need to go into archwing. Make sure you don't portal into the archwing part as this seem to always softlock the game!

*Find the Queens*
Take the three usbsticks from the computers and set them into the 3 computers they need to be in. Clearing the elevator seem to needed before you can activate (tip: use antimatter drop). Rush the way to the queens and watch the cinematic.

*PURGE THE OPERATOR*
When control of the operator is about to be given, spam mouse click to instantly sap the operator chair. Running in circles seems to make ordis hit you less. I haven't found any consistent way to get through the ship without sometimes getting stopped (Pray to RNGsus).

*The Mountain Pass*
Going up the hill as operator I the fastest way to get across the bridge seems to be by going forward and right while looking the direction you wanna go. After meeting Teshin it's important to know the point you have to hit with the beam is hittable from the side, so you don't have to walk all the way to the front of it.

*The Fall*
Routing in this part is difficult due to the seemingly random pattern of the Orokin worm. This will be added later as more research is made.
Talking about your parents (top option) is the apparent faster choice to use.
After getting Void Dash ability, be sure to micromanage the energy of your operator to use it efficiently to get faster through the level. Don't just spam as this can make you loose efficiency.

*The Ascent*
One skip is to initially throw your Operator off the cliff and dying, which will then unlock slide ability (if Saya's Vigil is completed). Another skip here is to get through the level a little faster. Use Void Dash to get over the cliff you would normally have to walk around. This can easily kill you, so practicing it a few time is a good idea ([example](https://youtu.be/rWJiZjSkWO4?t=31m12s)). This saves alot of time since void dashing and abilities is normally locked before reaching the door and walking is extremely slow.
The top choice is the apparent faster choice to choose.

*The Review*
In this mission you're required to use different of the operators abilities and ordis will always ask you to do them in the same order. The order is:
Void blast (spam e until it's done)
Void dash (spam ctrl + space)
Void mode / stealth mode (spam ctrl)
Void beam (spam with mouse)

*Face the Queens*
This fight is pretty easy if you done any kuva farming and Operator amps do work here. Simply kill the guards, then the veins, then take the staff from the queens. Try not to destroy more than 3 braids at a time, as doing so will cause the AI to lag behind and you'll lose time waiting for it to catch up.
Killing the queen is apparently the faster option.
A softlock can happen here where the queens never become vulnerable (if you got info on how it's triggered pm me so we can't prevent others from experiencing it. My current theory is it happens when you run around them in operator form.)
After that hurry out, door doesn't open instantly, so don't hug it since that will make it open later.

*The Escape*
Spam 5 before you load in to go to operator mode instantly. Go to the mission panel  and spam x so next mission can start faster.

*Return to Mountain Pass*
Remember to micromanage energy to quickly go there without having to wait for recharge. Try saving up as much energy as possible to void dash as close to Teshin before abilities is disabled.
Consuming the kuva seems to be the faster option.

Warframe - Movement Tips and Tricks

This guide revolves around being able to handle your movements with precision and elegance. This is a post-U17 guide. Coptering is dead!

[Speed - Balancing]
With the removal of coptering, speed is now a necessity. Unless a stage does not need much movement around the map, you should always have a speed boosting mod or ability on your Warframe at all time. Rush and Armored Agility can help with this. Consider using Nova with her Worm Hole augment or Volt with Power Strength as well. Don't forget that having a larger speed means giving up the potential to increase other stats such as your shields, health, and power efficiency. Find a build that doesn't cost you everything but still maintains a speed that you consider fast.

[Parkour 2.0 - A New System]

With the new update, the game has effectively slowed down in terms of run times. The biggest change is the removal of coptering. However, we have a new parkour system in place that should make things much better aesthetically! The basic mechanics are outlined here.

¤¤ Double Jump ¤¤
Just like it sounds. You may jump twice in the air. You won't gain the most height out of this maneuver, but you may reposition yourself on the second jump based on where you are pointing your camera when you execute it. This is extremely helpful if you made a small movement error and want to move yourself slightly left or right without moving even further. Double jumps are refreshed upon landing on the ground or performing an action off a surface.

¤¤ Aim Glide ¤¤
Aim gliding is a method to stabilize your movement in the air while aiming with a weapon. While in the air, aiming will effectively allow you to stay in the air longer and reduce your vertical descent speed. Another amazing side effect of this action is that it is momentum-preserving - that is, you will not lose horizontal speed as fast as if you were just falling. This is the basis for most movement exploits you will see in runs.

¤¤ Bullet Jump ¤¤
You perform a bullet jump by crouch jumping while your camera is facing horizontally. This causes you to dart in a specific direction and gain a bit of speed in the process. You are allowed to bullet jump as part of your double jump, unless your first jump was a bullet jump AND you have not refreshed your second jump yet. You should always be bullet jumping as much as possible in straightaways. If possible, resetting your bullet jumps is also highly recommended.

¤¤ Rocket Jump ¤¤
If you point your camera vertically up or down during a crouch jump, you will perform a rocket jump upwards. This jump doesn't give much horizontal momentum, but it results in a huge vertical height gain that can get you above walls and certain gaps. It also lets you set up for more maneuvers as you have more working space in the air. You usually want to use this while sprinting towards a high wall.

¤¤ Wall Dash ¤¤
Repeatedly jump on a wall to move in the direction specified on your camera. If you face the wall, you'll jump upwards. This is seldom used unless you need to make extremely small adjustments to your positioning while moving around the tiles.

¤¤ Melee Strike ¤¤
Perform a downward melee attack while in the air. You immediately start falling and gain the most downward velocity this way. Use this when you are in shafts that are too high for regular falling and don't need much horizontal movement.

[Advanced Techniques - Combinations]
¤¤ Melee Glide ¤¤
Combo: Sprint + Jump + Melee + Aim (hold) OR Sprint + Jump + Aim (hold) + Melee
This is probably the closest we can get to coptering although it is still pretty slow. Since aim gliding preserves momentum, you can use acceleration boosts from melee weapons while in the air to propel yourself forward and keep your newly-gained speed. Since this only requires one jump, you can chain two of these to gain an even BIGGER momentum boost! Note that the aim gliding is not necessary if you have a decent melee weapon to use such as the Gram.

¤¤ Sprint Rocket ¤¤
Combo: Sprint + Rocket Jump
You never want to stop moving as a speedrunner - that is too slow. Instead, if you see a huge vertical wall coming up, you should crouch and rocket jump while you are sprinting towards it. Do not stop or do a wall dash!

¤¤ B(Air)rel Roll ¤¤
Combo: Sprint + Jump + Roll
Rolling is faster than sprinting - try it yourself! Rolling while in the air gives an even bigger speed than just double jumping. Use this when you need to make horizontal movement while losing vertical height. Pun intended...

¤¤ Drop Canceling ¤¤
Combo: Crouch before landing
If you fall from a large height, your Warframe will hit the ground with a thud and stagger for about 3 seconds. Be sure to save the frames - crouch before hitting the ground to slide! This cancels the stagger animation.

¤¤ Falling Bullet Jump ¤¤
Combo: Bullet Jump while falling towards the ground
Instead of bullet jumping from the ground, bullet jump horizontally before hitting the ground. This breaks the stagger from the fall and also gives you horizontal movement. If you bullet jump on the frame that you would land on the ground, you can skim the ground while gaining speed equivalent to your sprint speed - this is frame perfect.

¤¤ Rocket Dash ¤¤
Combo: Wall Dash + Rocket Jump
Do not Wall Dash repeatedly if you need to climb up a huge vertical wall. Instead, Wall Jump backwards away from the wall then Rocket Jump up further.

¤¤ Rolling Jump ¤¤

Combo: Bullet Jump + (Roll + Double Jump)
After the full animation time of a Bullet Jump, you may double jump again for a burst of speed. If you do a roll and a jump at the same time instead, then regardless of where you are in the Bullet Jump you get the same burst of speed from the roll while performing the Double Jump.

¤¤ Enemy Bounce ¤¤
Combo: Jump on Enemy Contact in Air
Allows you to stop on a dime and gain more vertical height. This is usually unnecessary, as you can just double jump in place or rocket jump as your second jump, but it looks cool.

[Technique Scenarios]
Some combos to use in the right situations.

Scenario 0: Parkour 2.0 Training
Combo to Use: Everything at your disposal.
Why: A great place to train speed and momentum preservation. There are no turns and drops, so certain combinations will not be used. For an example on what could work out, see the following run: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5N-qXChoI9g

Scenario 1: Long Wide Corridor - e.g. Corpus Outpost River, Corpus Outpost Docking Bay
Combo to Use: Melee Glide
Why: Melee Gliding excels at straightaways with no vertical height constraints. Use and chain them here.

Scenario 2: Multi-Floor Rooms from the Bottom - e.g. Corpus Outpost Research Rooms
Combo to Use: Rocket Jump
Why: More often than not you'll need to go up - in this case, getting as much vertical height is important.

Scenario 3: Multi-Floor Rooms from the Top - e.g. Corpus Outpost Research Rooms
Combo to Use: Air Roll OR Falling Bullet Jump
Why: You need to keep your momentum while falling. Breaking your fall with a movement that gives you horizontal speed is perfect for this.

Scenario 4: Large Falling Shafts - e.g. Corpus Ship Elevator (Long), Grineer Underwater Elevator Shaft
Combo to Use: Melee Strike
Why: It's better to fall faster if you don't need to move horizontally here.

Scenario 5: Sharp Turn Rooms - e.g. most small rooms in ships...
Combo to Use: Double Jump OR Bullet Jump
Why: You should not try to lock yourself into moving horizontally in one direction if you need to turn sharply. Instead, use a bullet jump into a double jump to reposition yourself.
