My relevant post to this topic is the message that got deleted TWICE:
"lol why are you changing the rules again?"
And NO, don't ban 120fps. Why do you officially ban faster loading times? And why the people that is deciding to ban that barely plays or cares about the PC version? Hmmmmmmmm
I fully agree with moving the main categories and consoles/PC to full-game and leave level to Mercenaries (I don't really like that it has its own page when it could be here perfectly).
I don't understand why some people has real problems about having a functional full-game leaderboard for every game, it objectively looks and works better in every way.
I made some minor design changes for the full-game leaderboard. It looks more organized I believe.
Also, I updated the rules for each category to be more clear, limited the difficulty variables to Amateur and No Hope only (fastest and hardest which makes sense for speedruns) and stated that in case of New Game Coop, all runs submitted must show the two sides of the run to verify that the second player is playing legit NG too.
What do you think?
I'm going to change the look of the full-game leaderboards so we can naturally separate NG and NG+, not only as variables.
I agree with this. Full-game leaderboard looks and works way better once it's done right.
The game recognizes the DS4 and all the buttons but you need something like xpadder to map the movement to the dpad, there's no other way sadly.
Everyone uses an external timer to do runs so still showing the final RTA is not going to hurt.
It's ok, I see the point in merging them for the sake of a better looking board.
I don't think it's a good idea to merge PSP with PS3 runs. The difference in loading times is abyssmal. PSP is pretty much the same speed as any emu so I would label "PSN" just the PS3 runs.
Other than that, everything else seems fine and I approve.
If you need to prepare a file running the game several times it's NOT any% whatsoever @Morse66
Make the current "Save & Quit" Misc category a main one and rename it "Any% NG" or something like that. NG+ if obviously faster but it's not a direct and accessible way to speedrun the game since you need to grind out a lot of items in preparation, so NG is the true Any% nowadays.
I must say, with all due respect for some actually nice people of these communities, that RE4-5 leaderboards have been going to shit lately because of the stubbornness of a lot of moderators that hate change and logic, and that includes running in fast versions, with fast strategies and with fast timing.
You were asking for this, and here you have it.
There's a way to rollback an official Steam/Origin version to 1.0 or I need to install the disc version? I might do some runs in the future and I would want to practice first :P
I already told Deln by twitter but I agree 100% with the change to IGT for this game.
As of today, the patched biohazard.exe gets detected and instadeleted (again) by the last build of Windows Defender :(
EDIT: Fixed with the new patch update :)
