I'd like to request 3DS NTR (and 3DS HzMod possibly) to be added as consoles.
Since 3DS capture cards are pretty much unobtainable nowadays, we have been investigating alternative means to record footage: NTR and HzMod. Those are enabled by homebrewing your 3DS. Sadly, these are not always comparable with normal capture cards, and therefore need to be distinguished from regular consoles. For example Generation 6 Pokémon games get spedup by playing on NTR, while Generation 7 does not.
I have no doubt that you are intentionally acting like you are not understanding what that rule is supposed to restrict.
As with all category requests: start running them before requesting them. Find a few other people interested in wasting $50 each attempt and come forward with those.
Reading the rules of the speedruns should clarify most of what you just said.
That being said, we aren't opposed to any ideas. In general, if such an idea gets of lot of traction with people doing special routes and actually running categories, we still add them!
Recently examples are splitting the games Eevee and Pikachu into separate categories, adding the All Obtainable Pokémon category or having an Elite 4 Round 2 category in Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire.
It's fairly straightforward to learn how to use OBS. Nothing prevents you from recording the footage with a phone or a camera. @Gymfreak739, who is probably the second best player of this game, has been doing camera recorded runs too.
Most people use a capture card such as an Elgato or an Avermedia and stream/record using Open Broadcaster Software.
I'm guessing the request above is getting ignored as we've requested it plenty of times. The first time it got changed to being paused, and then it got reverted to autoplaying again.
Yeah, there are more respectful ways to treat people. Nonetheless I don't see any point in such a feature.
I have been an advocate for allowing it for Gen 7 completely without such a restriction but I do not currently have my console with NTR on it available to test and prove it doesn't speed up the game.
Still, streams auto play on the frontpage again, it's extremely annoying.
Just record the 3DS with a camera that is not too bad quality. The current 4th place does this and it's been accepted easily :)
I don't really know, I have to bring up the subject. Nonetheless nothing prevents you to do a run of a category that isn't official. Doing runs of something that isn't official just increases its likelihood to be considered to be added as an official run ;)
