Yeah so they will be on the guides section. As you have just descrubed a seg run "to SHOW how fast it will go"
we are also in the process of voting for a new super mod for the site. http://www.speedrun.com/resident_evil/thread/wqky8 here is the vote and te information about it.
That is what I suggested
Si if one were to get OoB. What would we do and where would we go?
Well if the vote swings towards RTA (Looks like it will)I can add an IGT line next ti RTA where you can compare IGT and RTA. The WRs will go by RTA but that is the best I can do.
This is a thread voting for who should be the next series super mod so that no one person has al the power.
The rules are simple...
-
Must have submitted BEFORE this thread for your vote to count. You must have experience working within this community and know the process before you even have any knowledge what you're voting for. The reason this rule is here is to prevent people from inviting non-competitors into the thread to vote for their friend and unbalance the vote.
-
You can vote for a maximum of two candidates. You do not have to use both of those votes. The answer is that the community should be OK with ANYONE within the list they chose being a super mod, even if their first choice wasn't selected by the majority vote. But this also means don't post "I don't care" if you're going to post in the thread, because that completely obliterates the point of a vote. If you don't want to vote, don't talk.
-
You cannot nominate yourself.
-
Here are the candidates that you can vote for. Any votes outside of these will not count. -uhTrance -Sephjul -StevenMayte -ArcadiaSkies -ZenixRevenge -Eleval -Dchaps -WolfDNC
5)You must only state the names of the candidates. No reasoning is required. If you post a long reason, we will delete it and keep just the names of the candidates.
-
You cannot change your vote once you have made it.
-
If you are running, you MUST vote for 2 people.
They are the rules. You have 48 hours from now before the vote closes.
Good luck.
yes maximum of 2 votes
no th re5 on is one
http://www.speedrun.com/re5/thread/32yo7 here is a vote I made yesterday. This is who I think it should be run. Instead of IGT/RTA, we just state the persons' names without any reasoning.
I will start the vote at 14:00 my time. 20 minutes.
This is a vote to change the timing for full game runs to IGT rather than RTA
The rules are simple...
-Vote for whether or not you would like to go by IGT or RTA -One vote per person -You must run this game to vote -Do not state your reason. Just simply say "RTA" or "IGT". If you would like to reason. Post it on this forum http://www.speedrun.com/re5/thread/k8t9v That forum also contains advantages or disadvantages of using IGT or RTA.
You have 48 hours from now to cast your votes. Changes (If any) Will be implemented immediately.
Series Super Mod is the title. I will set up the vote when I get up tomorrow. From then there will be 48 hours to vote. Make sure you got everyone you can think of to offer themselves as a candidate.
So I think the vote should start in about 12 hours. We got the groundwork for the super mod sorted. The vote should have 24-48 hours to complete. Should be plenty of time. What do you guys think?
The manipulations are blatant and you can notice them if you watch the full run.
Advantages of RTA
-Menuing is accounted for -Retries are allowed.
Disadvantages of RTA
-PC loading times are slower for runners with low-spec PC's -PC loading times are worse of on the steam version -Internet connections will make loading times different for everyone.
Advantages of IGT
-The 3 disadvantages of RTA are solved -IGT is used for every other RE game -More competition as PC and Console can be merged
Disadvantages of IGT
-Resets outside of the permitted areas are not permitted (Will be defined later)
I had a few more in my head but I can;t think of them. lease feel free to add your own later in the forum and I will re-add them into the first post.
Well I guess we can define the few places where you can reset. any resets outside of that are not permitted. Fair?
The timer is not manipulated by restarting, it is rolled back. If we change the rules then there will be no resets allowed. I am making another forum post defining the Advantages/Disadvantages of both and when we have decided what they are, we will do a vote. Nothing will change until we get a vote done.
I don't think he is. But sure talk to him.
