Hi there. It wouldn't be fair to change the rule for all previous runners of the category. Just to provide some background the ruling was made to not allow bestiary orbs because it requires you to have another save file where you have unlocked/earned those orbs. You don't earn those orbs in the actual playthrough you are doing. We felt this was more in the territory of New Game+ and as a result it wasn't fair to use them in a New Game category (this was before actual NG+ was added by the devs). If there's enough interest we can look to add a separate category but it wouldn't be something that was combined with the existing Any% boards. I would suggest joining the Discord if you want to discuss further. https://discord.gg/4mvtgm97mK
The doors in that area open automatically after a period of time in the room (I believe it's 60 seconds). You don't actually need to beat all enemies to proceed if you just wait it out.
*Normal enemy rooms only, doesn't apply to rooms with bosses
Closest you would find would be in category extensions where Lonely did runs of All Souls Manipless (not 100% or Glitchless) https://www.speedrun.com/aosce?h=Manipless-all-souls&x=z27mry42-68kow44n.5lm786yl.
You could inquire in the discord but typically categories don't get added unless there's potential for multiple folks to run and have it be active. All Souls with no RNG manipulation is pretty brutal because it all just comes down to a lot of luck. TBH the only reason 100% All Souls exists on the board is because I ran it regularly for like over a year and then they offered to add it when other folks were interested.
Not a bad suggestion. Legacy% is unlikely to see many new runs and could honestly be moved into the Misc categories.
Honestly seems like you're reading way too much into what seems like a tech issue. I just skimmed the run and noticed the slowdown is not just in places where difficult strats are required like you claim, but all over the run. It happens when the runner enters the Varia room after the Kraid fight for example and leaving that area. There's zero benefit to the runner slowing down the game for things like that. You can see them turn off their cam in an attempt to resolve the issue part way through the run. They also mention the runner was streaming to Discord. If your system isn't properly equipped to handle this it could definitely cause issues.
Here's a link to the current Handheld IGAvania Discord. Just be aware that a new Discord is currently being made to replace the old one so not sure how long it will be valid. https://discord.gg/MMGhYgVNsR

Congrats on being provided a complete and full answer from ZetCipher and just denying it. There has been video of infinite jumps posted in the Discord since July 18th. Gordon has advised us the devs plan on patching it out in future. I would recommend going forward you take the time to ask questions and educate yourself first before you accuse people of cheating.
Take your time & good luck dealing with this person. This is typical for them. They have a history of spamming requests to verify, threatening to contact site staff about mods when their requests aren't immediately taken care of, and was removed as super mod from Gal Guardians which led to them harassing the replacement mod.
Strange, not sure why you're having issues downloading it. I clicked the link in resources to test and it seemed a little slow to start but did download for me.
When you're hovering over the game in the R4 card menu you can press B to move to the Cheat menu. When I drop down the "Unlock All Codes" the very last one in the list is "Unlock AoS Bonus Content".
I did my run on a R4 flash cart and there's a cheat you can use for Dawn that makes the game detect Aria in the GBA slot. It's the reason there's runs on the console board that say "Emulated GBA Slot". That was the community solution to players wanting to play on an actual 3DS but not lose out on the GBA slot benefits.
I was happy to see notes about the Krang fight being fixed in online multiplayer. Honestly I'm all for the Raph stunlock getting patched. As much as it can be annoying when bosses jump around and are tough to deal with I pretty much lost all interest when the stunlock became a thing. Did they actually patch it despite no notes on it or does it still work?
The Krang fight could also see some benefit with local co-op. It's always been my experience that other players couldn't hit Krang's top half when he separates in two but in local co-op that's apparently not the case and all players can damage him normally.
This is the one they have linked to the SRC https://discord.gg/r8eJC226qz
Most active chat around the game happens in the Discord so I'd recommend there for videos. https://discord.gg/RF5FEc7yRG
An inquiry of what? I simply provided you examples of other factors that go into verifying runs because you asked. If you're already aware of these factors then you know that runs are not reviewed based on submission time which was your initial question...
There's no algorithm, human beings who volunteer their time verify the runs submitted. How they pick which run to verify is up to them. Someone could opt to verify a run submitted the same day opposed to one that's a week+ old for example. Is it generally best practice to try and verify oldest stuff first? Yes. Does that mean it always happens that way? No. Perhaps there's an older 100% run but the person only has time to watch an Any% run which is newer for example. Also if multiple runs are in queue from the same person there's little reason to review the older one. So if a runner has a backlog of like 3 PBs waiting to be verified it's usually easiest to verify the newest first then the previous ones after just so they show up in the person's run history.
