@Bismuth is this what you do in your spare time? Go through forums for games that you don't even speedrun and tell people they're just promoting themselves? Why the incessant harassment? Like what is your deal? Blindfolded% is a real miscellaneous category that people like DeZer0 and jumpyluff do for fun, just like any other speedrun on this site, whether they're the only ones who do it or not. People like you are why the speedrunning community is turning to pure toxicity
This game is not just a side-scroller. There is a minuscule time save around every turn you can make, upwards of just a few frames. But over the course of 5 minutes, it saves SECONDS over the entirety of the run. This can range anywhere from either not landing on certain platforms, or jumping before you fall to give yourself more momentum
Jumpyluff earned his rights to tell everyone they can save 20 seconds on their crap runs after spending hours upon hours grinding the game.
Hello authorblues,
For this series' organization sake, can we change this game's URL to "speedrun.com/monopolynes" so the series can be changed to "speedrun.com/monopoly" instead of that directing to the NES version of the game? I think that would make a lot more sense as far as the URLs are concerned.
Thanks
Thank you for the response. While I disagree with the timing start on the SNES version, I appreciate you giving me your reasoning. The first input is at the Start of the game, so I believe the time should start as you hit start before the cutscene, not during the middle of the cutscene.
Hello,
As a big fan of SNES and Monopoly speedruns, just let me make a couple of observations as far as this series' organization goes.
The big thing is the timing methods. How come the timing on the SNES version is different? Starting the timer "when the vault opens" sounds very random. It should probably be at New Game or when you enter your character's name and the game begins like any other game. That would make the games consistent with each other rather than one game starting in the middle of a cutscene.
The URL for the series page should be "speedrun.com/monopoly", not the NES version. Perhaps make the game URLs "speedrun.com/monopolynes" and "speedrun.com/monopolysnes" or something to that extent.
And for god's sake give these games a theme! These pages are so boring to look at, and they're MONOPOLY games! They're classics! They deserve to look nicer than this.
Take these requests with consideration please. I speak for all fans out there. Do this speedrun.com series some justice!
Hello, The Weakest Link community!
A question for all the players out there: where does timing start and end? Walkers12's run begins after he skips the cutscenes, but then ends after he has been eliminated, and after his character is finished speaking. So it's like half SDA and half RTA which doesn't make any sense.
Shouldn't timing start as soon as you select game difficulty? I think that would make the most sense, if we're sticking with RTA.
And where does it end? After the character is done with his speech and the screen fades to black, or as soon as Mrs Robinson excuses you from the room saying "goodbye?"
Thank you for your patience :)
Better Any% is not a good name
I requested a game page. If the admins do decide to accept it, runs won't be accepted unless SM decides to migrate over from deertier.com.

Who hasn't played this Red Remover in their elementary school computer class? I used to play this game (amongst others like Red Beard and Red Ball) and Mr. Chavez would get absolutely FURIOUS with me and would sometimes send me outside the computer lab where I wasn't back in the rest of the period. A lot of the times I really let his yelling get to me personally, but that's just how 8 year olds function.
Haha, but that's besides the point. In all seriousness, Red Remover ( speedrun.com/r ) is an outrageous speedrun using crazy strats like clicking on the squares as fast as possible, navigating through the tedious menu without your mouse freezing up ( I should really consider getting a new mouse since mine has been acting up like hell, but what can you do when your nearest electronics store is a 45 minute drive without traffic), as well as making sure you time your runs properly.
It's a great speedgame for beginners because there is no RNG, and it's a very quick speedrun (6 minutes if you're good like me; but can be about 6 mins and 54 sec if you're not that good with your hands or using your brain for optimal hand-eye coordination), and it brings back lots of nostalgia like Mr> Chavez kicking me out of the computer lab.
Overall, I would recommend Red Remover (and Red Beard) to anyone
We have lost someone very close to us. Someone who will be forever missed in the Spyro community an the speedrunning community as a whole. We have watched him grow from the small Spyro 3 streamer to the massive speedrun.com/spyro supermod he has grown into. We will never forget all he has done for the team, and will let his actions push us into accomplish even more great things. From the bottom of heart, Kjelstrupandreas, I will miss you as a Spyro mod.
Also welcome aboard Nerffrip as the NEWEST Spyro mod. Don't mess anything up, my good pal.
