[section=This is BBcode?] [big]But I'd still enjoy a preview for whatever styling this site uses[/big] The way I've been doing it is to hijack an old comment on mine on a locked thread and edit it, that way no one knows about my editing and i am free to do it however much i want. But this is primitive. A preview button would be lovely.
Also HowDenKing, i dont think links work with apostrophes or question marks in them (jk jk links work)
I'm writing a guide for a game, and I find it silly that there is no way to preview the guide before I post it. I want to preview it because I'm using BBcode so I want to see how it'll turn out beforehand. Why is this not a feature? Also, if people use some other website to test out the BBcode first, if you could link me that, it would be appreciated.
I like the idea of having highscores.speedrun.com. Seperated but not segregrated. Organisation without isolation. Sounds good to me.
game was updated, and I guess the mods are still deciding what to do about it. check out the discord, you'll be able to contact them better there.
Ah shit, my bad: https://discord.gg/pNp8Zet I'll try and run more later today, see how that goes
Official discord for speedrunning this game!
Edit: new link cause old one expired, this one is infinite
yeah, i have a holiday for 2 weeks so plenty of things to do! figured id expanding my speedrunning repetoire outside of cuphead
i can set one up if you guys want, i have experience in that stuff. my brother and I want to start speedrunning this game.
https://discord.gg/dcmdmY ^ link to a server, ill set up some roles and channels, you mods can get some admin stuffs. i can tell you leaderboard ideas on there, probably be easier
also, i'd like to make some suggestions for the leaderboards
is there a discord community for this game?
I think the ideas were that if we are going to have ILs for these boards, it might be for CupCore (which is a mod, join the discord if you havent already). interesting idea though, although it could be a bit spammy.
And yeah, if it actually works then I suppose we could unban tutorial from runs.
Why is it, that as a supermod (but not the head supermod, if you know what I mean), I can make regular moderators super, but I can't change them back? why am I able to make them super at all?
Also, why am I able to demote myself?
The game that I moderate (Cuphead) has three layers of subcategories for version, difficulty, etc. for most of the categories. One of our runners has like 30 WRs and another has like 10. It's crazy, but some would say they're necessary. One of the heated debates in our community is subcategories vs filters, many players prefer it one way or the other. This would be an amazing solution to the problem and I wholeheartedly support it, and I hope it gets taken seriously.
I don't have a name for the idea, unfortunately... although I think 'compress' is a good starting point.
You can find pretty much the same category on the cuphead category extensions leaderboard, which was launched just today. You can find that here: https://www.speedrun.com/Cuphead_Category_Extensions. Only difference is that charms and supers are allowed, but the simple & peashooter subcategory of One Gun is what you are looking for.
As a side note, do you have discord Duders?
