die, enter another level, exit that level, restart the level you hit the checkpoint in
Oh, I never realized you had a guide, sorry for making it useless. :/
I changed it because All Levels is probably the most arbitrary category of any NSMB game, and it doesn't need to be there. All Castles, however, has been a staple of Mario games where you skip one or more castle in the normal Warpless. (examples: SMW, NSMBU/NSLU)
I've always wanted to make like a database of every treasure for every version to show differences between value, weight, location, etc. I bet that would be useful.
As for which version is faster, each one has it's pros and cons. NTSC-U has the most value (tied with pal), but the most weight in the places that matter (SH6). PAL also has the most value but has the most weight overall, just making carrying slower in general. NTSC-J has the least value but also the least weight. I'd say just don't use PAL. NTSC-U or NTSC-J are about equal.
You don't have to go to every exit. You can skip any exit that isn't mandatory to unlock a new level. You also don't need to go through every cannon. Here's a list of exits I don't do in the route I made: 3-Tower Secret Exit 3-Ghost Secret Exit 5-Ghost Normal Exit 5-A Secret Exit M-Ghost Normal Exit
I'm adding one new rule that applies to every category, including IL's, that should arguably be enforced on every game: World Records require video.
Now, I know what you're thinking: "I can't afford a 3DS Capture!" The thing is, you don't need one. Just use a camera. As long as I can see the top screen, it's fine. If you don't want to use a camera, fine. Just don't submit.
So I will be going through the whole leaderboard and rejecting/deleting every World Record that doesn't have video. If you're run gets deleted, that's why.
31 seconds is impossible on 1-1. I'll reenforce the WR video rule and delete any invalid runs because of it
it's low%, so you're beating the game with as few collectibles as possible, not just small mario%
I also want to note that you can do runs without submitting them here. So if a rule about video is implemented, that doesn't mean you have to stop running the game. It just means you can't submit them here if you can't make any sort of video for some reason.
I don't get what you're saying. I always put up my runs with accurate dates as to when I did the run, usually as soon as I get it. Keep in mind that I'm relying on you to put accurate dates on your runs. When the site asks for a date, that means put in the date you did the run, not today's date.
And about the 3DS capture card, I get that it's a huge investment, but you don't need a capture card to record video. A camera is fine. Just look at Gonquai's warpless and 100% runs. And I never said I definitely would implement that rule.
So from the start I was really skeptical about a 7 minute PB with no runs in between, especially from a mediocre to a godlike run, but I never investigated more. So today I looked at his profile, and his run before the supposed 27:53 was a 35:04 that they had gotten 3 days before. My only guess is that it was either a typo or a flat-out lie.
This makes me want to implement a rule about videos for runs under a certain time, or even just to look through runs more carefully. However, any run submitted with video should have the video watched in its entirety before verifying. Leave your thoughts below.
A regular coin, no. That's impossible afaik. But a Star Coin or checkpoint, yes, you have to reset.
or i can just change my follow settings to ¤not¤ notify me for likes or new forum posts OpieOP

I would say yes, and would start the timer on starting the Fun With Plushtrap game. The thing is, you need to be fairly good at the game for it to save time with fast nights on. If it takes you more than 30 seconds, I'd say it isn't worth it. But I know you are good at these games, and I bet you can do it well.
Like seriously, anyone who knows literally anything about this game and is going to SGDQ. Get. On. My. Couch. And let me know you'll be there so I can hunt you down and pull you to the couch if you aren't on it by my run.
But, in all seriousness, if you want to couch my run, contact me on Twitter @EeveeSpiritt and I'll work things out with you.
No, you're missing the actual time save. I lets you do Perplexing Pool in one trip (even though it usually takes 2 days), and do Valley of Repose 3 early, which saves a fuck ton of time in Pay off Debt, like 12 minutes. You only take advantage of the Perplexing Pool in one trip in All Treasures, and even though it usually takes 2 days in RTA, the length of the second day is significantly shorter than the length of the second Perplexing Pool trip in No Early Blues. Most of this is from taking advantage of VoR3 early to get rush boots to make it a ton faster. That also lets you use rush boots for Awakening Wood 2 as well, even more time save right there. About the route you are proposing, it would be slower than the normal No Early Blues route. I'm not sure exactly how much time Early Blues saves in All Treasures, but I'm guessing about 15 minutes.
I totally agree with this. I can do early blues, but I'm not consistent enough to do it in runs, and because of the huge time difference in every category, it should at least have its own variable (maybe subcategory)
Can I get my name changed to "EeveeSpirit"? I've decided to do a full-on username change on absolutely everything for personal reasons.
