+1 to this. Actually having to worry about survival completely changes the way you play the game.

I've been working on a route to mess around with casual All S/P-Rank 200% runs (current best is a crappy 2h58m). I figured this might be useful to share for people learning 100/200% though.
I made these maps by drawing out several possible rational routes, taking out the parts that were common to all of them, and then measuring out the distances of the remaining line segments.
This should be close to - if not entirely - optimal for any all-items/bosses run. There are two versions of the World 1 map, depending on if you intend to buy Smoke Bomb in your run.
