AntarcticaVerify every run that comes in, regardless if some of them obsolete each other. The site will still work as expected and your fastest one will show, but it will preserve WR history if they’re WRs or it’ll still keep personal history for the runner.

There’s another thread on this forum already that has some links to a nico VOD of a glitchkess run if you’re looking for a starting point to learn from.
A few HDMI capture cards have a pass through that will give you an HDMI out so you can still connect the Switch to the TV. Or, people will play off a monitor or you can look into getting an HDMI splitter to split the signal to the capture card and the TV.
Also, broadcasting runs months later is a weird thing to do and I wouldn’t recommend doing it. I’d either broadcast your attempts live or if you record them without streaming I’d just upload them to YouTube.
I also wanna mention that you shouldn’t set OBS to record mp4 by default because if something crashes while you’re recording, the entire mp4 file will be corrupt whereas the flv will be fine and will just stop at wherever your computer crashed. Remuxing the recording is the best and easiest way.
You can still use LiveSplit on Mac and just run it through Wine if you want to. I think most people do that when they use a Mac.
There are staff applications https://www.speedrun.com/staffapplication but I don't think the site is currently looking for any additional staff (except maybe coders) so I wouldn't expect anything to come of it if you submit an application right now.
You'd need to purchase a capture card which will allow you to capture the gameplay from the console into your computer where you can use software like OBS to broadcast or record it.
There are many different options and brands for HDMI capture cards, what you choose will depend on how much money you have to spend.
If the game has a community you should confer with them about it, but if you're the only runner and the only mod, then yes, you get to decide the rules for when the game is first added to the site.

Does Nohboard allow you to record your inputs and automatically play them back? I thought it was just a keyboard visualizer
It’s probably possible, but according to tasvideos it’s prone to desyncs, which would render anything you’re trying to do pointless since it wouldn’t be a correct playback. So I’d use that version at your own risk. If you’re doing small chunks and not a full run it might be okay, but it still might not be perfect.
Tasvideos recommends Desmume 0.9.9 for TASing (later versions have desync problems). I’m not super familiar with DS TASing so I couldn’t tell you where the functions lie in the emu, but I’d recommend checking out tasvideos and the resources they have there. Even though you aren’t looking to do a full TAS, they should have what you need to learn how to record and playback.
CTRL+F5. Your picture is probably changing but your browser is caching the old one. Clear your cache and you should see the new one.

Whether each segment is grinded or not, it’s still a segmented run (just an unoptimized one). Although since a segmented run uses the in game saves, if the OP just plans on pausing everything occasionally, calling the run a TA is probably more appropriate.
Have two monitors? This is a nearly impossible question for us to answer because it depends entirely on your monitor and how many you have. If you have more than 1 monitor than this is obvious to solve. If you have only one monitor, then it’s trickier or just not possible. If your resolution is high you can probably manage to fit both side by side if you shrink them, but if your resolution is low or average, then you might have to really shrink one or both to fit it (and even then you might have overlap).
This really isn’t a question we can answer though. You know how much screen space and area you have and we don’t, you’re going to have to mess with changing the sizes of the windows and see what you can fit where if you want to see it all at once.
Yes, mods can still see your runs even though they aren’t showing in your pending actions.
