Both of these have happened to me as well... very annoying... Have you gotten stuck on the bench at the beginning with the man yet?? If you move too early while its switching scenes the thing behind you will disappear while the scene is switching from the little girl and you wont be able to move from the bench... im assuming the beast disappearing is the thing that tells the man to get off the bench. At least that one is at the beginning of the run though so you can just reset really quick.

Yeah ive noticed everyone pretty much stops when he hits the ice so thats probably the best to keep timing consistent.

Heck yeah!! So what are we gonna do about times when the bunny skip gets patched? Hopefully we can get a faster time with the tips they gave us even without the skip.

This is the skip 2 different ways

I got the skip. I think it has something to do with rolling into the respawn point while collecting the note. Not too sure. You can also just straight up skip it by going to the menu and choosing a respawn point that you get from the "death warp" just like Kynup said. I will post a video and link it here once its uploaded.

Maybe the flower from the game that the knight feeds pain to but in different colors like gold silver bronze and blue.
