The real point of speedrun.com is to post... speedruns. With Absurd Appel things get a little different because the later levels are going to be more of a clear and not a speedrun. But when people cheese those levels (e.g. level 13 and 17) it's more of a speedrun rather than a clear. So having both of those in the same category doesn't work because first- the cheesed version witll usually be faster and second- it's way easier. Nobody is going to beat Radiation multiple times just to improve (@Krackerz please don't; I value your sanity) but if there was a cheese that made the level feasible to speedrun, then it would be done.

I think having a cheese category and a clear category would be a good idea. This would protect runs like Michael's Key to Success run from getting destroyed with the cheese (if you don't know, ask around) and let people compete for the "cheesed" world record. What do you all think?

Anyways, I was trying to help out @Krackerz with his collapsing run because it was rejected. I was messing around with TAS replays to prove there wasn't a way to cheat. Sadly, I found one.

TAS replay codes have 'TAS_' before your username. You can delete that as long as you add something equivalent to what you deleted. (I'm pretty sure you can't delete any of the movements or else it'll break) This means that any run could have been an edited TAS. Anybody skilled enough in TAS making could replicate Human movements, threfore making it impossible to recognize a cheated run. My run could have been TASed, a level 1 time could have been TASed (just an example :)).

I don't know if there is any solution to this.

I thought of a new category for appel. Basically, you have to complete the level while crouching the entire time. I have completed every level except level 6, 8, and 9. The parts that are impossible is the second section of falling blocks on level 2, getting the key on level 8, and the last jump on level 9. Some jumps are extremely precise, which would be hard for speedrunning.

There would also be the issue of holding the crouch position the entire time. I was thinking of creating a remix where every level is possible and you are stuck crouching. If people (well, not that many are actually going to try it) want a remix, I'll have to make a different game and it won't be a category.

I want to know how many people can actually complete all the possible levels. Is this category too hard?

A few days ago I commented on dn_scrtch's level 2 28.4 run. As nobody checks runs that aren't podium, only one person has noticed this comment. Anyway, I noticed something strange about the timer in the top right corner. It was missing the black decimal point. Instead of looking something like 28.4, it was 28 4. Is this some kind of glitch?

Also the run was verified by dn_scrtch. If there was a second mod besides Chicken_11, a mod's run could be verified by someone other than themselves. Just a thought. :)
