@Swirc that's still slower than the already best strat
I think you're talking about a SM64 2P glitch. As used in this TAS:
@KalamajaMees this looks like a 2.52, could be a little faster as you're not streaming at 100fps so I can't definitively tell based on your timer. And I don't know if the death screen depends on ticks or not, so without that knowledge I can't calculate the proper time for this. If you used IGT it would actually be 3+ seconds but timing it from when you started moving would probably be 2.50 seconds if deaths depend on ticks. But like I said Idk if they are dependent. They probably are but don't take my word for it.
They were going to categorize it once someone actually did an RS or RSG run, and looks like you've done one. So now there are AAdv. categories! :)
Here's the best route I was able to come up with, there might be some improvements, but there's no avoiding using a boat at the beginning. The spawn sucks
By the way, this route is for 1.15.1. 1.14.4 will be different but it also has a sucky spawn but nether in 1.15.1 is good so I'd recommend using it. Also keep in mind where you make the portal, if it's in the wrong spot the portal will spawn and quickly be submerged in flowing lava.
First, get 8 wood, make a boat, and a wooden pickaxe, and travel to the below coordinates:
-41 ~ -1551 and get 3 stone make a stone pickaxe, then get 6 iron, 11 stone, and 2 coal. Then make a -Stone Sword -Stone Shovel -Furnace Then cook the iron
While the iron cooks, get some stone and make a staircase out of the ravine and get flint
Then make a bucket, shears, and flint and steel
Once done, get out of the hole and get water and a stack of leaves and also 24 wool and food from the sheep. There should be sheep next to the ravine
Then go to the coordinates and dig down to the stronghold
Stronghold: 39 ~ -1559 Make the portal in this spot: https://imgur.com/a/QCPwq85
Place the furnace, and cook the mutton
Then go to the nether, hopefully find enderman and kill them in a hidey hole, then go to a blaze spawner and get 6 rods
Then go back, make eyes of ender, beds, go into the end, kill the dragon.

Wait is this SS glitched or SS glitchless?
I need to know for routing
Edit: I see, it's glitchless
@KilleDragon It's a dumb idea, but if enough people want to do it they might add it to CE
Also the mods have no idea how to fix it, so just put the "ce" at the end of the "mc" to get there
just go to speedrun.com/mcce in the meantime
In 1.5.2, if you have your render distance and simulation distance as low as it can go, the dragon can fly out of your view and the game will think it died, causing the portal to open.
This is considered a glitch I think, so no doing this in glitchless
Should we ban framewalking as a whole? No. I can personally framewalk relatively well both with a hori and an original N64 controller, and if I wasn't done with this game, I would probably practice it more and get consistent. On the other hand, the use of adapters, I will leave others to decide. It's not like ESS adapters in OOT where it grants a MASSIVE advantage, here it only saves what, 12 seconds over using the cannon? And not a huge amount over cannonless (but cannonless is very difficult, to be fair). In terms of using adapters, I'm staying on the fence for now. But if someone pulls it off in runs with a controller (possibly by switching to a hori like some do for Bowser fights) then I think it should be allowed, and if it were to be banned. Only mapping analong to digital input should be banned. Since most of the time, mods should be able to tell the difference between framewalking using an adapter an framewalking with an analog stick.
You can't blj onto rising platforms, it was patched. Not possible
