Texas, USAi have no idea how accurate this is but if you have a pro and force the resolution to 1080p the game runs better since it doesnt have to render a higher resoluton then whatever the ps4 pro normally does it at. As an extention to this idea i would assume the Xbox one X would have no trouble at all running 60 fps all the time but untill a test is out in the wild who knows
I wanted to ask if RTA time is required for game submissions and would just IGT be ok? Doesn't matter to me which it is just i just would like to know so when i render out a submission video if i should put a RTA time on the video or not in post production
recording from the ps4 would just be blocked by the blocked scenes which isnt allowed since part of the run is gone. As far as i know the only game allowed with out a timer is DDDHD but you need to submit splits with it. If you dont have a Capture Card you can use remote play to play the ps4 on a pc and use obs to record it that way and since you are already doing it that way you can use livesplit

You need a min 240GB SSD btw, you cant use a 120GB SSD because the min amount the ps4 needs to accept a hard drive is 160 GB so you need a 240 because thats over the requirement , just mentioning it so people dont go and buy a 120 only to find out it doesnt work. Even if im wrong the OS takes up about 98GB (not including new updates) that leaves you about 20gb to install a game which the requirement for KH is 27.6GB according to the PSN store.
Would like to start out by saying i dont care which decision is made there is pro and cons for both sides.
In theory SSD should be allowed since like most people said sony allows it and stuff, but that being said it is basically pay to win unless they are separated into different catagorys so people who have SSD compete with others who have SSD.
Im in the middle at the moment, while SSD will make it faster that automatically doesnt mean it SHOULD be allowed, not having it allowed makes it fair for everyone, and coming from a game (BBS) where i was tired of having different loads due to different systems this would make it fair and no one would have to spend an extra (at min) around 60 USD just to compete. That being said if it is allowed it should be its own catagory with other SSD runs.
Im more concerned about PS4 vs PS4 Pro but like timmi said thats not the main point of this thread and it hasnt been tested atm how much of a time difference they are.

I agree, it would (i assume) make current mods not stress as much since there isnt a good ratio to games and like you said not all mods play other games but i dout it will happen imo

It doesn't really matter to me which we end up doing, but doing it at character selection i think would be better. Since nothing of any real significance happens between selecting start and character selection and it would look cleaner in runs since you start at the character you are running. I know the main argument of not doing it will probably be "all the other games start at the beginning" but the other games dont have a character selection either into the run. Like i stated earlier it doesn't really matter to me which ends up being the official thing, but i prefer character selection since its like another option, before the actual game. Like selecting a character is just another option but it happens to have a fancy animation
