there are many users who run each and every worthless little web/scratch game.
tracking or ranking who has the most runs would only lead to more people doing these 5 second long speedruns of scratch games.
though mentioning user country, i would love to have the country page back where you could search users by country.
you run around catching monkeys to stop them from taking over the world, it is the best game.
leaderboards nowadays barely acknowledge in game timers, at least for older games.
in game timers can be inconsistent or not precise enough. like 1st gen pkmn (maybe other too) only track down to minutes
join the game's discord communities. they can help you better than random people on these general forums
you need to upload your videos elsewhere. speedrun.com is not a video hosting website.
also very unlikely that only a photo will be accepted as proof for your speedrun.
for online you can use this https://somewes.com/frame-count
for local videos i like to use the nsmbw load retimer https://github.com/RootCubed/LoadRetimer
window capture and display capture also have that checkbox
google drive or basically any website that allows you to watch the video without extremely intrusive ads in your face.
some mods may reject a run for not being on yt/twitch/google drive because it makes retiming the run more annoying
no.
also why would you want to track the milliseconds if you dont want to show them on the boards?
with an emulator you want to find one that allows you to search the memory of the game as its running. you find some values you want to track and note up their memory address.
thats the hardest part. the part after is coding the actual logic an all that which if you want to keep simple, just a few if statements like: "if level number increased from 3 to 4, split.".
with an emulator you will also need a base address or whatever it is called, this address can vary from emulator to emulator and version to version but you dont have to invent the wheel again, find an existing ds autosplitter and you can copy the base addresses from it.

yes splits.io said that gdq stopped paying for the host so that site is no more.
have to hope that src implements therun.gg support
