im intrested in an default any % where no unlockable characters is allowed . intrested what characters people would pick. but think we need at least 10 active players or at least 5- 7 and we dont have that in the moment.

i actually need to test normal and hard differences on chang ban . i think its different. taking the bases in the begining is important though for the enemy reinforcement to show up

when liu bei reach 80 % of the escape cao cao will appear and he will start move when the pessants starts to escape . i dont think zhao yun matters. could be wrong though. but if you fuck up the fire attack more and more enemies will come. and on hard i think its even more enemies and harder. more rng. if all allies dies liu bei will stand alone and fight. maybe its a easter egg for that he cares about the people or something . cao cao will show up eventualy though

depends on the character you are at chang ban . feels like liu bei s ai react differntly depending what character you are . that battle is so complex . sometimes some reinforcements dont trigger fast etc . guan ping is the slowest for sure on chang ban there is a 75% fire fail attack if you are guan ping

bulcon is co op now allowed for individual character as well ?

i have done 11 min runs without horse maybe you can do a 9 min without horse

adding a any % ng as default would be interesting cause then you cannot choose all unlockable characters i wonder what people would pick.

would be fun to see you do some individual campaigns though. i never equip horses on my ng+ speedruns i often snatch them from officers. and some characters are so fast anyways so you dont need the horse. you only need the horse if youre gonna do crazy times. like under 7 mins

and like you said any % all kingdomes would be cool.

the dynasty warriors 5 extreme legends board is also empty just 1 run . i love those extra modes , legends, destiny , extreme . maybe they could be added in to the future here. as misc categories. but i dont know maybe people think it dont fit the dw5 board.

chang ban . battle is the most annoying map in the game. dear lord you have to wait for cao cao for like 5 minutes sometimes 7 minutes depending on rng .

looking forward to umihimes run. nobody has done all characters unlock on hard.

yeah so pang tong gan ning, sima yi, lu xun , cao ren , ma chao is the best characters with some exceptions with maybe lu bu , xuan yuan . it could also be aplayer reference what your comfortable with and if youre on keyboard or controller.

sun jian is the best character for the lords ( caocao sun jian liu bei)

but cao rens shooting attack would shred all officers if they were put together in an arena. with buffs etc

after playing the game a lot now i honestly feel that lu xun is the best if you dont use a horse.

difficulty can also give a different impact on the characters.

this game dark souls 2 and devil may cry 1 and 3 and wo long are my favorite speedrun games of all time. dw5 has everything you want in a speedrun game. great items , characters, weapons , speed buffs and its not that lenghty iether. the lenght of a game matters. the longer the run the more mistakes. but in shorter games you reset way more also, no room for mistakes at all.

it should be way more popular . maybe if they re released this game it would get more players. but the onimusha games are also not popular and they are really good speedrun games.

i would pick ling tong and pang tong might consider cao ren cause of his shooting abbility . but zhou tai is my favorite dynasty warriors character of all time. such a badass character.

but yeah not everything is unlocked at freshfile

i wanna try the dongrout any % 4 stages with cao ren would be intresting. even with gan ning that would be intresting/fast

dong zhao campaign seems to be the fastest one if you look at map progression.

btw equiping the speed scroll can make you 10 % faster . if you have the speed 20 scroll . and you can combine the speed 20 scroll with weapon buffs for instance if a weapon have 15 speed attribute you can get +35 speed. then theres the battlefield speedscroll if you have +35 speed with the battlefield speed it might give you +40 speed. kinda insane mechanics. i found a weapon with lu xun that had 17 attack and 15 speed and its also a light weapon.

sunsaintDC are you on controller or keyboard

2 gan nings can roam across the full map fast if you have musou all the time. i think gan ning is the fastest character in the game but his campaign is not fast. doing gan ning on the dong zhou campaign would be insanely fast. he might be good for hard

Dong zhao is the fastest campaign.

also pang tong and ma chao has fast movements in air.

im both keyboard and controller player . i dont mind turbo controller i mostley use ps4 and xbox 360 controllers

i dont have a turbo controller , i remember i used to have one though

i use the PCXS2 , i know that xenia is kinda unstable the 360 emulator . the pc version is kinda hard to find its not on steam anymore and i think you need the old school pc dvd box . ( ninja blade and onimusha 3 has also been taken down)

then there is also the dynasty warriors 5 extreme legends game if you have the dw5 disc you can port all dynasty 5 characters it has the orginal dw5 campaign and also added a novice difficulty.

i would recomend ps2 and xbox emulator

i think OOB is alowed for all categories there is no glitchless category that im aware of .

i havent used turbo in my runs. is it a in game feature? i have a lot of hours in this game around 600 hours i think.

thanks for answer . i just wanted to know if they were allowed at the time. but since you have to be online maybe its not alowed? theres a mechanic in this game that when you die , they respawn as co op . sonmetimes you can summon op summons who can demolish some bosses actually a cool speedrun tech but might also be seen as skill issues or weak speedrunning strategies .

Mobile defense and defense matches should be added as well in my opnion

cool , wanna try the whip and the fists as well. taotie and demonic qi are my timeloses . i wish taotie never got in to the game lol such a gimick fight . long sword is kinda cool though with right martial arts setup . zhang liao is my favorite bossfight in the game such a cool fight.
