Ohio, USAI have no way of capturing yet would love to upload runs. Would runs that have a picture of the end time be accepted (im talking Level runs). I have run games before that accept photographic proof and was wondering if this would be acceptable here. Let me know what you think!
I just had an idea that could work out well. I understand wanting to only accept runs with video proof (believe me, I moderate a game on this site) but I think that it would be easier to accept runs of arcade mode that include a photo as proof. I have ran some games that allow this and (especially in my case where i have no recording equipment) it can be difficult to record and upload runs of this game. Since things go by IGT i feel that a picture of your time should be allowed, I know at least for me that would give me more motivation to run this game often and could grow the speedrunning scene for this great game. Let me know what you think and if this gets approved I'll definitely start running this game again ASAP!
Okay, I've logged on the past few days and saw some changes done to run categories but now I see that some of my World Records have been changed to being 15th place, 6th place, 3rd place? What is the deal here? I feel like if something gets verified as a WR it should stay that way unless beaten manually and with the record in mind. They merged SD and HD online together which is a poor decision IMO because HD is the PAL version of the game, thus making SD and HD two seperate games and should not be mixed thus so. This all just doesn't seem fair to do, or even logical. Hopefully a mod can see this and I can see the response given because as of now I am shocked to see this happen to a game that has been being run for over 10 years now, because these are not small changes. SD and HD should remain separate because they are technically and literally TWO DIFFERENT GAMES under the same title.
Was watching through videos and noticed that if you lose the first round of Extra Survival (No recovery) it tracks your time, could there be a joke category (possibly something similar) to trying to KO yourself the quickest here, with video proof required? I've been doing runs for this game recently and it would be a fun category to do quickly and anyone can run this mode LOL. Let me know what people think as I would love to see something like this added to this game.
I have only recently gotten very interested in runs for this game and have a quick question regarding this specific game's page here on speedrun.com... why is there no separate section for uploading times for individual courses? I know there is history and this game has been having runs for years now but you could just upload a picture of the single track run's time trial records screen in the game, which would be way more accessible for newer players to get into this game. This would also create a proper way to display the world records for each track because while I have been looking into this game all weekend, I have not seen anyone mention the actual world record for a specific track. I know most uploads would just be Wheelie Scooter but still would be cool to have the option to show which star you used. Thanks for reading and please respond because an individual course category would at least get new players (cough cough me) to take this seriously and upload some runs! :)
