Yes, you should submit a support hub request for this - good of you to have noticed so quickly and prevent any divisions in the community as you've said :D I shouldn't really add this on, but the second page's moderator is to blame, not even bothering to search for the game you're requesting on the site is hopeless of him 5Head. Hopefully, it's not a mod farmer.
Depends on which game you've submitted the run for and how big the queue is. Minecraft Java CE has a queue lasting months and the main board isn't greatly better, I believe some Roblox Doors has a large queue as well. These boards are sort of exempt from site staff getting involved because there's nothing else that can easily be done.
Generally, moderators are given three weeks to verify pending runs before you should try reaching out to them about it on the socials linked on their profile (or messages on the site if they've recently logged in), if they're uncontactable then I'd submit a support hub request to takeover moderation. If you don't want to takeover moderation then... there's not much to do but wait and ask the moderators to verify it soon.
the advertisment thread might be a good place to look for smaller, newer, easier to run games. Just because I do genuinely love the games I'm involved with I'll recommend GunBlood: https://www.speedrun.com/gb because it's very easy to understand the strategy, and to get into finishing runs, most of the ILs aren't very optimised, and the main category is very broad. Should also be fine on a Chromebook.
best of luck running in the future :)
Would like to add from my own experience that if the game you're submitting fundamentally breaches the rules for adding a board on the site, regardless of the description it will be rejected. If you think it might appear to conflict with one rule it could help to explain why it doesn't (in your opinion).
I chose to do my last history coursework on the Northern Ireland conflict... it was gruelling, but I'd like to imagine I have some understanding of the problem, and I agree with @Alowishus89 I agree with Shiken to an extent too, although sadly Elo rarely if ever takes note of small improvements to the site. It is however possible to select yourself as having no location if you strongly disassociate with the flag. I secondarily feel that adding a small cluster of further flags to identify with may spark unnecessary conflicts between runners about the relevant and different symbolism of each banner, whereas as disappointing as the unionist flag is, it may be useful just as a flag to distinguish the place the runner chooses to identify with having come from. And I'd finish with saying that no flag for a country is worse than one, despite the fact that the flag has a certain historical symbolism to it, that flaw is shared by many flags from different countries in the world.
Problem extends beyond Northern Ireland and it would be quite the task to fix them all.
I'd agree and also dearly hope the site staff handle each case with enough attention to work out that someone who is clearly gunning for a mod role doesn't have a mod team removed for missing a blanket deadline. I know in the back of my mind star must though because surely many handfuls of people have submitted frivolous support tickets for Minecraft moderation troubles lol
And if it makes you feel happier, I've had runners threaten me after 2 days with all kinds in the same line as support hub removal DatFace
