San Diego, CA, USAIt’s strictly fun and business. It should not be run "my way", it should run in a fair way. Bullying and grievance are strangers to me. And I cannot see what kind of „tone“ you hear from typed words. It’s not important, when it comes down to fairness. Causing upset in trying to suggest more fairness in a competetive matter... how is that possible?
So, let’s comment on the facts. If it’s refused to have the game patch (not a hack!!) for DOS in place, then the only thing that makes sense is to split Amiga/DOS into their own category. Otherwise, the time bug in the original DOS version is, de facto, an issue.

Guys, with all due respect... in the other topics which much less relevant stuff a mod or admin was replying within hours, posting about etiquette. And in here (where it would be massivly important, because of the issue mentioned above) zero replies after 2 weeks... silence. Hard to comprehend! (Personal reasons obviously excluded)
For the Cup & World Cup speedrun categories, you have to set a new rule in place regarding the original versions.
Original DOS 3min game time = 2:20mins (1:10min per half) Original AMIGA 3min game time = 3mins (1:30min per half, spot on!)
(Reason: When SWOS was converted to DOS they forgot to adjust the game timer to the 70hz frame rate. Amiga is on 50hz.)

Please consider adding following rule:
DOS players have to use latest SWOS++ extension to correct original game time bug! Prove: Show main menu with SWOS++ button in your run!

As you said yourself, a newly submitted run takes 1-3 weeks to appear, not "a few minutes". It's obviously misleading.
Hey guys, just wanted to check in and ask about the pending runs? I think there are quite a few waiting for verification. If you need help, I am glad to moderate this speedrun section and verify runs.
He did NOT mix teams. He played with Brazil (only customized names!) vs. Italy!
Nevermind, he can score the same goal with simple Brazil vs. whatever national team at any time. He will re-submit.
Also, only because you see BRAZIL or any other team in whatever run submitted, doesn't mean it has not been modded or edited skills. In reality, there can always be suspicion, but that's not why we are here.
@Arran: Please verify xfleaPL's submission. He is using the official online version of SensibleSoccer.de, unmodded Amiga SWOS 96/97, only original teams. He might have used his custom team (which is 100% Brazil, only edited shirts & names, but untouched player skills!) (EDITED CUSTOM TEAMS is a feature of the original game, so that should be perfectly allowed!)
I guarantuee the version's validity, and xfleaPL's faithful submission. Thanks!
PS: Just saw his video is without timer. Ok, let him add a timer and submit again.
You might attract more players if you add more categories. Why hold back?

The header and tackle goal do not duplicate anything you already have. The 10 goals is just another layer of difficulty. (you can go up to 20).
Too many? I think there is so much potential... Ideas:
- speedrun the preconfigured WC (PRESET / World Cup)
- speedrun the preconfigured Champions League (PRESET / Champions Cup)
