Hey i figured it out, in the gcn adapter driver, click windows gamepad info, then properties, at the top bar of that: settings, then calibrate. I guess there was something wrong with the vjoy emulation of the controller, even though it was able to detect every input in nrage input plugin. Talked to GiBoss about it (emu guy) he summed up that it was a windows fuckup! Hope this works for yall :)

Im using Project 64 1.6 for SM64 Speedruns and Im trying to use my gamecube controller. I have the correct plugins along with the wii u gamecube adapter driver, its in wii u mode (or direct input). Ive used zadig to get the right drivers for my gamecube adapter as well. I followed the EMU guide perfectly using all the recommended drivers and settings. I've tried using N-rages Direct input 8 V2 1.83 along with NRage's Input plugin v2 2.3c. Only the 2.3c version detects my controller, but when I go in game, I'm able to move mario just fine, its just that the camera options dont work. Niether mario cam or the c stick works. I have no idea why this is happening.

Thanks but that does not really answer my question, is it legal to run? I'd run project 64 1.6 but it does not work properly with my gamecube controller. its a weird glitch that is unexplainable... that is unless someone can tell me why my camera options dont work... only my camera options

Is it legal to speedrun the VC version of Super Mario 64 on dolphin? It's the same speed as VC Wii as far as I can tell, though I know it's not listed in the rules, but that is for solely EMU SM64 runs. Is it possible for this to count as the VC as the Wii is doing an emulation of its own?

To elaborate on why I have an issue is that whenever I try to use PJ 1.6 the plugins to detect Gamecube controller do not work properly, only the 2.23 version of the controller plugin detects my controller, I am able to do everything except for the camera options, this includes the c camera as well as mario cam. I have tried switching it to different buttons and it still does not work.
