We could put the four worlds on the level leaderboard. But I don't think we should add Any% through 2/3 worlds unless there's enough interest. I don't see the point of doing a full-game run then partway through stopping.

Have a great time! I hope this will give the resources the site needs.
@FireNinjaAUS In 3D All-Stars you don't gain any speed from BLJs though, it's the Shindou version where they patched it.
It's not impossible to find something new but the version is 23 years old in one of the most popular and examined speedrun games of all time, so I wouldn't expect anything.
v1.0.1 was uploaded to the eShop so I guess we are getting at least one patch. Not much is known about it currently.
Although the ROMs are mostly unaltered the game in general is different enough to be separate from main categories.
By the way, SM64 uses the infamous Shindou Pak Taiou Version and Sunshine is the PAL version, essentially translated versions of the most recent releases. Shindou is slower for SM64, but it is the only version on iQue. afaik PAL is second fastest in Sunshine, slower than JPN and faster than USA.
Yeah other Switch games show the fastest version is digital on system memory
All-Stars using the Shindou edition is just a rumor. They played a voice clip of "buh bye" over gameplay and that's all the evidence there is. Shindou is what Japanese Virtual Console uses, so it might not even be in the international versions of All-Stars.
So, could it be added as a console?
Deathless has now been archived and replaced with the BFDIA 5b challenges spreadsheet, with Any% Least Deaths and 100% Least Deaths. Find more info and the links to the spreadsheet and submission form on this thread: https://www.speedrun.com/bfdia/thread/op8k4
The BFDIA 5b challenges spreadsheet is now open! The one category right now is least deaths, with Any% and 100%. Submit your runs through the submission form. More challenges or category extensions can be added later. Also, the Deathless category will now be archived on the leaderboards, this is replacing it.

I've been talking with Gave2Haze, the guy who set up the leaderboards and also created the Deathless category when the leaderboards started in February 2017. He's okay with the category being closed and he didn't know there were necessary deaths when he made it. I was the only other runner up until now and I'm fine with closing the category. The reason is at a top level it would be the same as Any% as the optimal strategies for Any% is under the game's necessary amount of deaths (24). What I think I will do is archive it soon (like the IGT subcategory) and in its place I can make a minimum deaths challenge spreadsheet. We could add more challenges to it and side categories in the future.
Everybody in the 5b Discord seems to agree with closing it. The only two runners of it so far (me and AntLadders) agree and so does the category's creator, Gave2Haze.
The buyable platforms are known to be buggy, you might have to start over
Yes, please. It will make me more likely to run this game more.
By the way I lost my WR in my main game so I'd want to focus on that at the moment so I might not run this game immediately
You can resize your window on emulator to be very wide or very tall, letting you see more to the sides and might make mapping easier

I'd be at least interested in a list of the best possible times for each level going by the in-game timer upon touching flagpole/axe. This would also be ignoring pausing for fireworks.
