I'm pretty sure this is a bug with how IE handles tooltips, and not a site problem. I've had it happen before in other places on IE but not on other browsers.

Co-op can be done with any number up to 4 players.

Just bear in mind though that the game only has 2 "difficulty" modes. One for single player, and one for co-op in which enemies have much more health. a 2 player Co-op run would be quite a bit slower than a 4 player one just because bosses would take much more time.

Since you can already filter the leaderboards by race, I personally don't see the point in adding Yuke as its own category. As you said it's pretty difficult, and no-one has done a run of Yuke as yet anyway, so there's no demand for it at the moment.

For Xenoblade, Me and Legrand both agree that our estimate can be dropped to 6:30. I've done several no-reset runs and they've been quite happily under that. Given there's still 2 months before the event, and we're making a lot of route improvements at the moment, we're confident that it will be safe. The only thing would be that we would setup backup saves for after the only major RNG trick in the run, which is around 25 minutes into the run, and can wall you infinitely. If you're concerned about the race aspect, we did a race recently (the 29th) and finished within 5 minutes of each other, with the lead going back and forwards throughout, even with a fairly large difference after the early game (Mostly due to the RNG trick mentioned).

Yeah, like Ash said, USB Loading is a big nono, especially for GCN games, since it makes a huge difference to the loading times throughout the run. I also wouldn't allow runs done on it. While it works fine for practice, if you want to do runs, you're going to have to import a copy of the game.

That's because those leaderboards don't have the "Values obsolete each other" setting turned on for platform/region/variables. Note that in the first one, 1 run is NA and 1 run is EU, and in the second, one has the variable "Friendly version" chosen, and one doesn't

Hey guys, just an update to let you all know that me and Deln have been added as series moderators. As outlined in the suggestion thread, the purpose for this is not for us to control the games in the series, but just to maintain the series page and generally keep the quality of our part of the site as high as we can.

As you will have also noticed a new White theme has been introduced, to compliment the use of logos as the game images in the series.

We'd also like to introduce some guidelines for people adding new games to the series, more for consistency reasons and ease of browsing than for any other purposes. First up is that the url for the game be just the game's initials/numbers, any ambiguous cases should be handled by what people commonly refer to them by. For example: Final Fantasy 12->ff12, Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles->ffcc. The other thing is that the boxart for the game be set to the game's Logo, as opposed to the box art where it exists, or something similar if it does not, as long as the game is recognisable from the image for people of any region without too much trouble.

Hopefully everyone can be happy with these changes, and if you have any comments or questions about anything mentioned in this thread or just in general about the series, feel free to contact me or Deln Directly, or to post them in this thread.

I'd quite like to know the reason why Strider (2014) was cut if possible.

Fair enough, it was just an example. Would something along these lines (similar to the legend games) work better in your opinion? ( - this is a raw image not in the correct aspect ration for srcom at the moment, just gathering ideas.) There also seems to be a monochrome version which I assume is from the title screen when its played on a Gameboy. I'm also happy to collaborate with any ideas you have.

Hello everyone, As some of you may already know, there has been discussion in the FF Speedruns Discord (people should join this if they haven't already btw, https://discordapp.com/invite/0tjIC3eQA7VqjACE ) about adding a couple of moderators to the series page.

This wouldn't be to moderate all of the games in the series, but rather to fulfil a specific set of roles outlined as follows:

1. Maintaining the theme and overall look of the series page, this includes reaching out to individual game moderators to help make changes to boxarts, URLs and game titles to keep everything consistent.
2. Moderating the series forum. Right now this isn't a huge issue, but it will allow certain threads to be stickied if needed, and also prevents any issues in the future.
3. Act as mediators for any disputes between site users/game moderators, or between game moderators if an issue comes up that cannot be resolved internally. (e.g. a certain user's runs not being verified, arguments about how to maintain the leaderboards, or any other issues).

Based on the discussion in the Discord, the people nominated for this role were myself (MLSTRM) and Deln.

If you agree with this setup and would like to see it go ahead then please like this post. If you have any issues or concerns, or just want to discuss any part of this proposal feel free to post in this thread and we can work things out.

At the end of the day, the people chosen need to be selected by the community and be accountable to them. We're not looking to make major changes to how everyone runs their own boards, just make sure that the series as a whole is well maintained.

The first is changing the page url from "Dissidia_Duodecim_Prologus_Final_Fantasy" to "ddpff" The second is changing the boxart/logo image to have a white background, to make it a bit more consistent with the others and to make the actual image stand out a bit more. By having every game in the series be consistent in this way it makes the series page look more coherent, and it makes it easier for people to find a specific game they're looking for, and the urls follow a consistent pattern. Series pages only show 25 games by default again? I get that this isn't an issue in most cases, but for like Final Fantasy, Zelda, Mario, and I Wanna Be fangames it means a lot of games are cut off on the default view.

Me and Legrandgrand agree that the estimate for Xenoblade Chronicles can be lowered to 6:45

I'd like to withdraw my submission of Strider (2014) 100%, since I haven't put anymore time into that category due to not liking it, so I don't feel like I would represent it well enough at a marathon, I'd much rather do one of the other categories for the game (And the estimates for those are fine)

For Metroid Prime 3, the new strats that are being worked on don't save as much time as we initially thought, so 3:20 is safe for that, and it looks unlikely to drop unless something major is found.

For Ty 2, a 1:45 estimate will be safe, however I'd like to retract my solo submission. Emericust is much more capable of doing a solid solo run than I am, and I won't be able to achieve the estimate in time for second cuts so I understand if you choose to go with a solo run just from that, however I will be able to reach the estimate by ESA if the race is chosen.

I haven't been able to put in as much work as I would have liked due to being busy with University work and not have much time for runs lately, however I finish university mid-May, so I will be able to work on any runs that make it past second cuts for ~2 straight months before the event.
