That's insane. Definitely V-Sync ON shouldn't be allowed.
Now I'm afraid that other parts of the game (such as animations or transitions) can be faster or slower..
I was talking about it another day on discord, so:
If you have a monitor with more than 60Hz of refresh rate.
-
V-sync ON (in-game): FPS locked to your refresh rate (120, 144, etc..).
-
V-sync OFF (in-game): 60FPS.
-
V-sync ON (map): FPS locked to your refresh rate (120, 144, etc..).
-
V-sync OFF (map): unlimited (better hardware, more FPS).
-
V-sync ON (main menu): FPS locked to your refresh rate (120, 144, etc..).
-
V-sync OFF (main menu): unlimited (better hardware, more FPS).
So, I think everyone MUST play with V-sync OFF, so everyone will get 60FPS lock in-game. (maybe the mods can make this as a rule).
NOTE: Everytime you start the game, your V-sync settings change to ON, so you need to change it everytime you restart the game.
I realized that because there is some tricks (wall clip) that doesn't work with 120FPS, so I always need to change V-sync to OFF.
Interesting, when I finished the game for the first time and started to play some bosses on Expert mode, I remember that when I started a New Game, the difficulty of the first boss was selected to Expert and the selection was there on a invisible Expert button, because there is no expert mode when you start a new game.
Looks like the game always save the difficulty selection, and for the last bosses, it messes everything up.
Good catch.
Good question.
Hmm, I don't know, I don't think they should be treated as bosses (they are more like minions, weaker than bosses). I mean, I feel like only the King Dice is a boss.
Maybe we should just consider Soul Contracts? Bosses = Receives the soul contract after killing the boss..
Or maybe only the stages where we can select the difficulty: Simple / Regular / Expert. I think the "difficulty selection" is what the game treats as a boss.
Kill All Bosses is the only objective. The run and gun stages are not required, but could be part of the strategy to earn some coins early in the game.
I mean, It's the same definition of other runs like "Dark Souls All Bosses".
I'm playing all day and I'm having a lot of fun, I did it in 1h16min. <1h definitely possible.
All Bosses?
I'm running All Bosses right now, offline. (don't need to beat all the 'shoot and run' stages).
