But I guess All Cheesebits could be interesting, so if you want to give it a try, go ahead!
I guess the game just doesn't have enough a community to care about other categories than just Any% :D
For SNES emulators, we generally accept:
- Snes9x version 1.51 or higher
- SNESGT
- BSNES/Higan/BizHawk. Have fun running!
Good luck, have fun! Note that there is one very recent strat that my PB doesn't have: the new Pyramid Door 2 with Will. You may want to look at Mr. Freet's videos for that ;)
Welcome to all the newcomers, hope you guys have fun with this game! :)
Usually we are not supposed to run games on a console from a different PAL/NTSC region because of this. So if the game was originally a PAL release, it should be run on PAL settings exclusively.
Hi!

Max's skip works because there exists a diagonal line such that Max is never in "contact" with the hole. On one frame, he is still "connected" to the floor, and on the next frame, he is connected to the next floor; there's been no frame where Max was not touching either floor. It only works with Max simply because he is fast enough to completely skip across without being connected with the hole a single frame; as far as I know Goofy is too slow for that and just can't do the same thing.

RNG is call-based: at the beginning of the game, it starts on a specific known value; but then it changes every time some random decision is needed. Pretty much every enemy makes frequent calls to RNG, which makes it completely impossible to manipulate when you get past the first few rooms of the first level. So don't worry about RNG, there's really nothing you can do about it. Just play the game and pray!

The arrow platform: when you press an arrow, the platform changes to another one of the 8 (I believe?) pre-determined patterns. The change is random, but there's only a small number of hardcoded patterns. And luckily, for every one of them, either the bottom-left or the bottom-right tile will have a Right or an Up arrow, which is what you want. So the strat is: activate either one of those, and then quickly go back to the bottom-middle tile before the pattern change is complete. Then, you can choose one of the two bottom tiles again, rinse and repeat. You may want to watch top runs to get an idea of how we do it.
Have fun running!
I'm not sure what your issue is, but in case you don't know, the level up bird requires a special setup. Watch top players' runs for details, but the basic idea is to deplete the bird's HP (it has 80 HP total) until it is low enough so you can finish him off with a jump attack. You want to kill the bird as you are falling down from the cliff. It is tricky to do and requires some practice though. However, if you are considering running this game, you might want to switch to the Japanese version. PAL is MUCH slower in the long run, so maybe you want to get the practice in the right version as soon as possible ;)
Snes9x 1.53 and up, SnesGT, BizHawk and BSNES/Higan are perfectly fine. I'd really recommend BizHawk or Higan if your computer allows it, otherwise Snes9x 1.53 (and up) is your best choice.
This happened to me once at that exact spot, and also once as I was opening the 4th orb chest in Sky Garden. I'm surprised it happened to you since it seems to be extremely rare. So rare that I never managed to reproduce it on purpose, even with frame advance. As far as I know, there's no use for it, but we'd need to be able to actually reproduce it to be able to test it. I don't think it would be very useful though because I suspect it has the same properties as the invincibility glitch we use: it would wear off when entering a new room, and you would die instantly. However, it's still worth some effort to replicate and study this glitch. Maybe it could be useful after all?
Hi,
It will be highly preferred if you could provide a link where the video is directly visible (youtube or twitch) rather than a download link. I don't know about .fiv files, maybe you can try getting that into Youtube. Otherwise, if you're playing on console, I'd suggest recording with Amarec + capture card of your choice, that's what I use and I know that Amarec makes .avi files which work decently with Youtube.
The easiest solution though is to stream on Twitch and just configure your Twitch profile so that it keeps your VODs. :)
It actually is always there somewhere, the problem is that more often than not it gets blown up by the dynamite explosions. You need to get lucky so that the glove will be in a spot where it won't get destroyed... and there is no way to manipulate that as far as I know. In this game, randomness depends on the exact frame you finish stages, so you'd need to finish the first 3 levels of the game in the exact same number of frames every time to manipulate the glove, which I believe is impossible. You just gotta get lucky. This is a really RNG-heavy speedgame. ;)
Hello, I would like to request mod for Ghoul Patrol on the Super Nintendo. I tried to contact the current mod of the game (Hydrargerum) a week ago, to no avail. Besides, I think I'm the only one who has done a run of the game, but I can't submit it because the current settings of the category require a 2-player run, while mine is single-player.
Thanks a lot in advance!
