@rewan, I highly disagree with your assessment. Even though there's a lot of luck involved (as with literally every top 10 run in history), Bastion strats is objectively more skill-based and less luck-based than the regular strat, where in order to get WR, all you can do is hope to spawn inside a fortress and get all the pearls within the first 10 gold. This run on the other hand required a lot more knowledge about the game, including optimal ways to tackle each bastion type, approximating the closest neighboring structure region based on coordinates, having the intuition of where to place the portal for fast travel, etc. All this in addition to the fact that you are just forced to traverse several more blocks in the Nether than the regular strat, during which you make critical decisions like how many excess pearls you can leave the Bastion with, how frequently you can pearl-spam to get to tricky places before running out of pearls, and finally getting to a blaze spawner 5 minutes later than previous WR and having to kill stray blazes during spawner downtimes while evading Wither Skele's, all within the tight TIGHT timespan of 15 minutes.

I agree that Couriway made several mistakes during the run (both in execution and knowledge) that could've saved at least 2 more minutes, like pushing into the negative-negative for a lava pool instead of looking around at flat open areas, or throwing all the gold to a small group of Piglins instead of spreading it around efficiently, etc., but saying that the run required no skills whatsoever and was 100% luck is just short-sighted and very disrespectful to the runner. Even if he did take an objectively inconsistent route like most of the other runs in this category, you'd still need a ton of skill to convert that luck into a WR.

If it takes the seed as an input, then it's not allowed. Otherwise, it's allowed.

I personally didn't think there was anything overtly suspicious about the run. Maybe if you analyzed it frame-by-frame, you might find suspicious stuff, but just from watching the video through at normal speed, I didn't find anything suspicious about it. Even if the mods managed to prove the run was faked, I would still hold the opinion that there's literally nothing suspicious about it on the surface (instead something much more subtle is at play).

All the pathing and the strategizing in the run, I've seen at least one other sub-25 runner do. Some of the strats are not ideal and are very high-risk-high-reward, like going with just 2 pearl trades instead of 12+ pearls. Others are excellent and should be used more frequently by other runners, like trying to locate the start of the stronghold and checking the walls of the second room for hidden passages. Nonetheless, none of the strats were out-of-place. I feel like if any sub-25 runner was given the same seed and the same luck, they would have gotten at least a sub-17 or a sub-16, if not a sub-15.

@Pooply, yeah that really does suck. Mods should definitely update the rule. Very unreasonable to rule out Vanilla RNG imo.

Rules are very vague at the moment. Idk if by "may not move before timer starts", they are saying the player entity itself cannot move, or if the player cannot press any keys to move the player entity.

If I had to guess, it's the latter. The former is just pure-vanilla RNG that can happen to anybody playing the game (not an "advantage" that happens to a select few). And since it's completely outside the player's control, it can be treated like other advantage-giving glitches that may happen accidentally to the player (like camera clipping through water, 5-min-lag jump boost, etc.). Even if some of the things I mentioned might be wrong, I wouldn't worry too much about this.

Not a glitch. Works as intended. Just like every other fall-breaking MLG's.
