Yes, from power on a global frame counter begins. Though it may not have an effect on all runs, and would certainly never have a major effect for most categories, it is a slight difference that could easily be avoided if timing started on power on. Having discrepancies is not worth risking for a game at such a high level.
it would be retimed, and could possibly add hours to your submitted run if you reset using the quit game function for a while. it's all about global stuff and how the game counts frames, same with pokemon games. watch some pannenkoek, it's not a simple game. every run needs to be compared to each other on fair ground, even if it means minuscule stuff like coin rng
It has 1 run and 0 pending submissions. I think 4 mods is enough for most, if not all fangames.
Supermods can't be removed by anybody but themselves or staff. I'll happily step off this game as I've not ran it, but I'm a series mod and there are other sbob games I know. Thanks for the suggestion.
He's saying that it was an RTA category, it's not a banned thing in any%.
if you can beat the game with one star then yeah it will be added but you can't
Categories that aren't full-game aren't worth it for an already very short speedrun.
Please strip F1 of all moderator positions and deplete this site of this game.
minigame first, then specific games second. right now it's flipped so they're displaying horizontally instead of vertically
Angle, position, and rhythm. By watching a video it's pretty easy to tell what they're doing and from that you can tell how. It's just a matter of performing it.
Agreed. I'd be willing to step up too to handle submissions, I'm on multiple times daily as well and I know the game well enough.
Gnist posted exactly what I was going to post. Same issue with the boards over here http://www.speedrun.com/nsmbds/1-1
I would say this needs a poll but I think it is up to the relevant runners of the game. If this is what you want, I don't mind at all unless it is consistent. Somebody needs to be willing to retime each run accurately, but it will be a lot harder with your timing because there is no visual cue.
Err, no. Just watched Omega's run and the 1:07.26 is on the transition, otherwise it would be 1:07.1x. My run was retimed to the transition. Again, go through the boards and see for yourself.
You could go retime everybody's runs and redo the boards, I don't care either way, but your run is the outliar on the boards if you're submitting it your way.
I don't know why the timing is stated the way it is on the site but it's been done on the transition for as long as I can remember, when Omega and Touval were running it.
Thanks for the page.

That's the PAL version, and that's okay to run, but it won't be faster. There are minor differences.

The purest run you can do is 40 orb, the third category at the top. That doesn't allow skipping into any of the bosses, and at that point you can choose not to use the Dragon Shores entry. Glitchless is too hard to define in this game.

Yeah I think a few people have done it, but it's not interesting enough and just adds time for not a good enough reason. Feel free to run that though, you wouldn't be the first.
