wait i submitted a 7:30 today actually. haha forgot about that
according to my math, a theoretically perfect run would be a 2:27 (IGT) so theres definately room. but with how inconsistent the loads can be and how much my nerves eat me alive, i feel moving on for now will be nice. also I've only been running this game for 5 days, not a week. oops. FeelsBadMan
btw the combo at the end of your 7:15 against Corrupt Shinnok, thats not faster than a 100% perfect fight i assume? Im taking a guess and just assuming you did it because its safer.
oh man you got a 7:15? FML i submitted a 7:39 last night. this is a great analysis Jerq and i appreciate the statistics. its amazing how much of a difference IGT and RTA ¤CAN¤ have.
yeah i guess I'm on the fence with it really. ill rally for it if it seems the leaderboards are so neck and neck. with how much load times can vary, its certainly not a terrible idea someday. btw did it used to display the character being used in the run? i feel like a few months ago when i first checked it out, it did :o
the fatality times on pc are the same as console. however, if a pc run is submitted, i think removing load times from all runs would be the best idea. im not sure if anyone else has noticed tho, but even on console, my loading times differ. I've had to reset runs because the loading times is 2-4seconds longer than normal. So i was actually surprised that loading times were taken into consideration with the run. Also keep in mind, after the Goro fight, it displays the total game time in the left side of the screen. So you could take that and just add it to the game time from Shinnok (and corrupted) and it'd be an easy way to find out the total game time (minus load times) without even having to watch the entire run!
Why is there no NA category? I'm American and have the physical disk + system and was gonna run it.
Have been added to Recourses as a downloadable .zip file!
I submitted the PS2 game Run Like Hell to the site just under two weeks ago and it has no runners at all or even a leaderboard! Was curious how much longer the process would be taking? I know its only 1 person who approved new titles and was hoping he could really help me out here :|
thanks!
I stream / record using the El Gato HD (before anyone asks why id use such a crap capture card, it was a gift from my girlfriend like a year ago before we knew anything about capture cards) and when i begin my runs, i noticed upon watching the recording that the timer starts and stops at the wrong time in my video. This is because of the 2-3second lag that the El Gato has. Capturing the video into OBS alongside the timer causes obvious issues because of this lag. My question is if there's any way around this? Also if my timer starts and stops at the wrong times, does that invalidate my run? Obviously the early start of the timer is balanced out by the early stopping so my runs are still timed accurately in the end.
I submitted my run for "Run Like Hell" a few days ago and it doesn't have a leaderboard, so i suppose i have to wait for it to be approved. I lightly remember it mentioning a time period of waiting because someone has to see and approve it. As i am very impatient, how long would this usually take? Im so antsy to get this game up and make categories!! This feels like a noob question but this is my first time submitting for a game with no runs or leaderboard. THANKS!
I've done the run about 7 times now. Since its a never before done run, I'm having to map it myself but I'm not off work for another 3 days so ill be recording a submitting it that day this week. Im busy a lot haha.
I used to play this game back when it came out. I went to a retro game store a few weeks ago and seen it on the shelf and instantly remembered the soundtrack for some reason. Also i remembered that i had good fun playing it. So since I've been looking for a game to speed run, the fact that no-one has yet, made me wanna do it!! So here i am.
The run is laid out and its gonna be between 2.5-3hrs long! The unskipable cutscenes make up atleast 30mins of the run haha.
I am speed running the ps2 game "Run Like Hell" and there are no runs for it already. How do i submit a run for a game thats not even on the site?
