I will try using OBS again, but last time I tried to use it the game I was trying to play was unplayable. I will try looking for low-spec settings this time around though.
so not only can you wall jump on walls with spikes on the other side, you can also do it if a laser beam is in the middle and you don't wanna wait for it

Yeah they are supposed to. Video link is required to submit a run, but for some reason big moderator man could submit one without a video...
I think having our own discord server would be useful. I did join but I saw a channel called #bug-reports which gets me worried haha
The only problem I have with a screenshot for proof is that if it's the WR, then new players can't exactly see how the time was achieved (what route to take, for example).
The problem on my end is that the screen recorder I'm using slows down my computer, as do a few others I try. I heard hypercam is terrible so maybe it was made for bad computers haha
The way the game gets the time is different to how livesplit works. And because I get lag from a recording, my livesplit will go at the same pace while I move slower than normal.
It's probably not a big deal, I doubt there are many others that have come across this. I don't expect the rules to change, just laying out a problem that exists :)
I don't know if anyone has noticed this, but the in-game timer is heavily affected by lag. I can't even get a sub-2 when recording but as soon as I stop I get one first try (not too hard). I'm not sure what can be done to fix this problem, but I can suggest that picture proof be good enough? Recording the end screen with confetti (would be quite hard to edit the numbers if the confetti goes behind it). At least the last level with time included should do it?
These ideas sort of hinder strategy sharing, seeing the best routes in action which would suck.
This is the reason I won't upload any IL's unless I find a strat unused in the WR.

There's one thing I'd like to know: is wall jumping normally faster or is this wall climbing using item equip faster? Obviously I mean when using Time Attack method of timing (IL). It also seems that whenever you need to climb a wall with the giraffe, I suppose climbing with item equip is faster since you can hold the button while sliding on a wall and as soon as you stop sliding then item equip menu will show up, instead of waiting for however long to use the giraffe.
I called it wall climb instead of wall jump but I seriously don't care enough to change it :)
Oh and btw, I wasn't showing off at the end. I was trying to spawn the guy and make it over to where the blocks spawn to stop them appearing haha
Yeah I'm going to start IL runs soon, as well as some of the stuff I've talked about. It's just that I got the game on switch and wanted to finish it completely before having to record on PC you know

Actually yes, this is useful. You can climb up walls with spikes on one side by holding item equip and then pressing jump, letting go and holding it again, pressing jump, continued... I know there are a few spots where this tech is useful (well, seems like it saves time)
Ok everything (bacon, dead pause menu, pause menu) on screen while moving has let time still continue on the timer. As well as the item equip while enemies moving thing, that progresses time as well... oh well hopefully something will be found.

I can confirm bacon on screen pauses timer so that's cool. Now for some more testing.
I don't know if I'm being an idiot right now, but I think spamming the item equip button as you're falling makes you fall quicker? Seems to me that's how it works.
Regardless, pressing item equip after going on something that jumps you (ziplines, trampolines, etc.) will make you go less high/less far, which is great since there's no time penalty for going into item equip mode (well I have my suspicions it charges you the few millisecond fade ins and outs, but it's pretty hard to time something like that)
This is definitely not the most useful thing ever but I guess it could save half a second here and there...
Also, with the skull perhaps we could just negate time altogether by using glitches in the forums below please like and share and comment and subscribe thanks (haven't tested this at all which is why it's a "could")

Wait what how do you do it with the stamp? I did think of another thing, sometimes there are letters that you press jump to view and I wondered if you could do this glitch with them... doesn't matter now I guess haha
