@Lucario888 Declined. Read the first post of the thread and fix the issues you have before rerequesting.
@JosephHTobinJr Read but not handled. @xenkaroshi Did not see that tweet on your profile when I initially looked, possible I missed it or something. Giving them a few days and if I don't get a response it'll get handled.
@bathsaltedpeanuts Everything seems fine, added. Removed the other user and enabled "Runs Require Verification" as well. @NerdyNester Handled as well.
@lolaway Mentioned them in a tweet, will see what happens. EDIT: They responded pretty much immediately, will let them communicate with you. @xenkaroshi Will do the same regarding your situation tonight if they haven't come on by then. EDIT: Have done so, will give them a couple days to respond.
@xenkaroshi Your run (singular) has been pending a day. Because of this, I will give the mod a few days (in case they get email notifications) before attempting to contact them via their Twitter, which is relatively active. I would also suggest mentioning them in a tweet yourself, as this could also expedite things for you.
Banner doesn't show because you have a background. Icon shows up on pages such as https://www.speedrun.com/user/Laika_the_Spacedog/info - for games followed/moderated.
@Catna No, putting a timer in in post is meaningless. It doesn't give any real frame of reference and only tells you information you already knew from the video itself. It also doesn't prevent cheating by editing the video speed, since the timer is in post and runs in real-time where the video might already be sped-up. Best to either have the timer be part of your layout to begin with or not to bother with it at all.
I use the video timer as a reference, but not what I explicitly go off. I find when the run starts (to the frame), and note what the timer's offset is at that point (either how early it started or how many frames it starts late). I find when the run ends (to the frame), and note what the timer is at (assuming it's not stopped early). From here I can calculate easily what the timer is. If the timer stops early I instead calculate how many frames the timer stopped early and add on that time before calculating what the run time was (via the initial offset I determined). This isn't 100% precise as the livesplit capture isn't always perfect but for runs where an exact framecount isn't necessary it is close enough that you will get the correct second almost all the time. If it's very close I might use what I do below anyway.
If the runner only shows seconds (or even only tenths of seconds sometimes), the above method doesn't work too well. In that case I find the second the run starts, calculate how many frames into that second the run starts, and note that down. At the end of the run, I find the second the run ends and do the same calculations. This gives me a run time accurate to +/- 1 frame of the actual time, while still being a quick method for calculating it. The only real way to get more accurate is to actually do a framecount, which takes far longer.
Wrong thread. @Flynntendo
@cacti Placeholder run to basically indicate that that category isn't something possible to run (or worth tracking, though usually the former). The run is not by the moderator, it's by N/A - in other words, Not Applicable. Uncommon but not something that's bad.
There are plenty of active moderators for the game, direct your request towards them and accept whatever answer they give. As a note for the future, you'd also need to add more contact methods to your profile (and enable 2FA if it's not already) for site staff to consider a moderation request.
We strongly prefer a still image for a game cover. As such, I have replaced the .gif with a still .png (clipped from that .gif). I have the .gif file saved, so it is not lost.
Two games does not make a series. This also isn't where a series is requested - you would submit it using a similar form to game requests.
@_Smiley - Reminder to not make requests for games you do not moderate. https://www.speedrun.com/wpdtg and https://www.speedrun.com/hells_mines are games you do not moderate. I did handle https://www.speedrun.com/gmod .
@Lyren - We have handled your requests for the removal from the HL series. We want to be clear that creating a game via series moderation powers then requesting its removal is not something we allow. Consider this a formal and strong warning not to bypass the game request queue in this manner, as we will remove series mod powers if it is done in the future.
This should go as a reminder to people in general that we do monitor these kind of things.
Likely because outside the obvious -1 threads in a forum for zero, it's not obvious how many threads a forum actually has, nor would someone go through and count them all to compare.
