The tournament doesnt start until late May. Sign ups end this weekend though
I expressed my idea's in BooHead's stream earlier. So, you can go for the one cycle Breaker Boo and just skip over Pipe Room completely, or if Breaker Boo goes back into the Breaker Room after you complete the Cellar you can still skip over Pipe Room. Just don't catch any of the ghosts, turn the valve, grab the key, and go straight to Weston. The Pipe Boo would be replaced by Van Gore's Boo. It's basically RNG, and right now we're just doing trial and error trying to find new routes with Save and Quit.
What GlitchDoctor said, this is a Japanese exclusive trick.
Let's do what Jared said, he's right. We don't need super mods when regular mods can literally do the exact same thing. If it comes down to a 50/50 decision, then the mods should come together to have the final say. There's truly not a need for a super mod.
Javi, I'm already a regular mod. Current mods aren't getting removed
Super Mods
-
GC4Ever4001 - GC's done a lot to help out the Community. He helps settle disputes in a calm, nice and peaceful way. He prevents drama from starting and overall deserves the spot.
-
Smoof - Smoof's been around the longest and deserves super mod. He knows what goes on in the Community and has more knowledge of the game than anybody.
-
JaredsGiantz - Jared was formerly a super mod, but got his status taken away along with all of the super mods at the time. He has the experience to be a super mod, and he's been in that position of authority before, so I think he deserves it.
Regular Mods
-
MastahBobby - Bobby is a very skilled runner that has been running this game for a long time, he deleted his USB times a while back to insure that it got banned, and he would handle having mod in a very mature way.
-
OfficialGlitchDoctor - Nick is very skilled at this game, as he's not very active in the Community like he was, he still checks the leaderboards very often, making him a good candidate for mod.
OK, I will go make a forum post and we will take a vote on the mod you want to be super modded and you have to give a valid reason why. Sound fair enough?
This is something so easy to figure out though GC, we don't need to wait any longer on this. It's clear who deserves to be super mod and we should just do it already.
Yes, at this point I think it's fair to say that Veman and Linkus need to be removed.
And we can't leave the mod list like this forever either, that has to change too. If a mod isn't doing their job we need to unmod them, rather than having to contact an admin.
Super mods can unmod and mod other people, but when you think about it, we consider them more superior. So if we have super mods they can have the final say on debates.
I believe super modding Smoof and BooHead is the way to go as they have been around the longest and they know what goes on in the Community.
Tozino is around a lot, Smoof is too. We need super mods. What if an even bigger debate happens, bigger than legalizing S&Q and removing emu times, and we're split 50/50. Who would have the final say? Nobody because there's no super mods, and that's if.
I personally do think adding a few super mods is the way to go. As decisions on topics have kind of been split we need a couple super mods to make the final decision. As for the inactive mods, Veman retired and we haven't really heard anything from Linkus, but we can leave that to the rest of the Community if they want to be removed.
Well, it looks like there's only 3 USB times on the leaderboards and 2 of which don't even run the game anymore. And we're talking to Sarcrai now
I definitely agree with this proposal. We need to delete all USB Loaded times to prevent confusion among any new runners who might be confused. Next, with the banned times still on the leaderboards, such as the WR's from Any%, Any% OOB, and 100%, it'll nearly be impossible for anyone else to beat those times because it was done on a banned version, and so far only one runner has obtained a 1:12 on disc in 100% and nobody has obtained a 58 on disc in Any%. Getting rid of USB times will improve the leaderboards as a whole since there will only be disc times on it.
And the mark beside the times wouldn't be arbitrary because everyone's running on the same version and the only difference is S&Q, even one change like that should be marked. And I know you'll say it's just like using any other strat, but you're actually exiting out of your file, which is why it should be labeled.
Or if we really wanted to, we could do like we did with USB for a little while. Beside the times we could put like "S&Q" or something to separate the times that did the save warp from the times that didn't. Just another idea I had.
