Just wanted to mention that we have actually been able to get mod hub a lot more cleared than we used to, mainly thanks to venturematic, greenvest and babbanx, biggest Ws I've ever seen in a while regarding verifying runs (i hope i didn't forget anyone).
I wanted to apologize on behalf of the mod team that it pretty much looks like we are slacking. Problems like being busy with studying for final exams, or having troubles with issues in real life, etc., is something that the majority is affected of. However, we promise that we are not dead in regards of moderation, and if anything like this may happen again, just keep these things in mind. You are obviously allowed to DM us about your run not being verified as long as it is been pending for around 18-21 days (normally it's 3 weeks flat but you get the point).
I assume we are all waiting for the floor 2 release by now. I would not be surprised to see a high influx of runs being rolling through the mod hub once it does, and I can't wait to see what you guys have to offer. I would be really invested in watching new runners arise and show what they have got in their bags.
Finishing this, I'll end it by saying that we will from now on keep on verifying a bit more like we used to back at the start of the game's release (it won't be as fast as we still have to watch full runs to see if they're cheated or not, obviously). We'll keep you guys updated if there's any issues regarding the leaderboard and runs being verified.

So, this thread is pretty much regarding the situation with the prices in Jeff's shop.
As you all know, we currently can not verify any runs that are affected by the Super Hard Mode difficulty, as the prices of the items have doubled (apart from the skeleton key, it's 400 instead of 500), due to the fact that most runs base off of buying items from Jeff's shop that originate from the old prices (pills and lockpicks normally are 50 coins, flashlight's a 100, cruci and skel key are 250, yare yare daze).
Now, chances are that, if the prices remain the same and don't revert back to their original state, all the current runs will have to get wiped from the leaderboards. This is, again, because most of the runs base themselves off of buying the items from jeff's shop, and ultimately, it'll be a lot more difficult to gather coins for the items that so very desperately are needed in a run. All we can do is pray and hope for the prices to be reverted back to their original state. In case not, the changes that have been named in this thread will be pulled through.
So, since the normal mode is affected by the SUPER HARD MODE difficulty as well, which is pretty much for the whole week according to LSplash, any run that will be submitted in this week affected by this certain difficulty, will be rejected, as there are a few things that heavily affect and differentiate itself from the normal runs you might know, such as:
Door 1 looking different, shouldn't be the case Items in Jeff's shop being as overpriced as in the new difficulty.
Any other run that has been submitted BEFORE the SUPER HARD MODE difficulty was released, will most likely be verified either way. This should hopefully be resolving a few questions out there, thanks.

This was allowed before, since the player wasn't leaving the first room in the first place. However, upon further consideration with the Staff Team, we have decided to reject any runs that include players in the "Items" Lighter category section. Chances are that the current top runs that include co-op will also be rejected.

So what this is all about is of the guy who got banned cause he couldn't wait long enough for his run to get verified. I as a verifier of the CATEGORY EXTENSIONS can say that the runs I verify are WAY shorter in both amount and duration, than the ones that are being submitted in the actual DOORS categories (solo shop, no shop, etc.).
Now the thing is that he probably isn't the only one out there reacting like this, and it is true that runs that are around top 10 are going to have higher priority on being verified, because they're obviously better.
HOWEVER: That does in NO way mean that your submitted run will be rotting in the depths of the moderation hub. It's going to require you to just wait a week longer than usual. It sucks, that's true. But at least your run will get verified eventually. Enlighten other people about this cause it's really starting to get annoying - even when I myself am currently not a verifier for the normal DOORS category - when you get around tens, possibly hundreds of DMs per day, asking the question "Yo can you verify my run please?" or "Yo my run hasn't been verified yet." They're being looked at as soon as the verifiers/mods have the time to do so. Just like every other person, they have a life outside of speedrun.com too.
