How much is the time? The time for Into The Jungle is like close to 4 so it needs to be significant in my opinion to be worth seperation
Alright yeah that's it thread is being locked as all this is doing is further proving the toxicity of this community
Crafter is not being banned

Refer to reason 1
With how rude you've been I'm considering punishment for you because even if he cheats he's still a person and you should respect him as one. I am not banning him for this. I may lock this thread soon but feel free to respond before that
I'll revert back to reason 1 as it's the most important
"I have not found this issue on any of the runs submitted on speedrun.com. That means to me that the cheated runs are either a test, he doesn't want it official, or some other thing. "
If you don't want to consider the runs which are slowed down legit then go ahead because we haven't even been given opportunity to look at them. We're not gonna ban him from speedrun.com until he actually does such acts on speedrun.com. Even then, instead of outright banning him, we're probably just gonna retime with penalty. Bringing in #2, I really don't think that timer slow-down is something that is ban-worthy even if it's intentional, because it's such a piss-poor method that it can be resolved manually (You can't properly time a sped up video).
You people's main issue is that you hate how he acts about it, and that seems to be the reason you want him banned so bad. As a mod, I really should not bring emotion into things, and rather focus on fact. That is why I never banned Thunder (Even when I had feasible evidence against him). When considering I will not be thinking about how he acts.
As for talking to crafter tiggz is already doing that and I may consider having a direct conversation with him. Until then, no ban, because he hasn't even brought the issue to speedrun.com and it's for something as naive as slowing down a timer and gloating about it

I VERY highly doubt that I'm gonna ban someone for slowing-down a timer; I am more likely to do so for speeding up runs than slowing down timers.
-
The way you presented your evidence is very poor; no links to used videos for reference (I was able to find them and I am aware I didn't do that in my original Razor proof but I realize now that's a problem (I'm still not unbanning Razor because we have much more proof since then)), nothing is explained and I was generally a bit confused about what was going on. Next time maybe make it clearer, because bans need to be almost doubtless in necessity.
I am probably not banning crafter for this. If me and crafter get in touch I'll try to talk to him about this, but otherwise feel free to stop unless you have proof of speeding up
Since the poll we've concluded that
- Noone has a really strong opinion, but many have an opinion.
- Many people seem to want single categories along the list of single-player categories to be disallowed waiting, and noone can decide which one that is
- Everyone is fine with disallowance for warper and kitless
My verdict is that we stick with the rules I made. There were valid reasons for the disallowance of some of the categories (Disruptor, Digger) but the reasoning doesn't seem enough to justify disallowance. Therefore, these are the rules in place as of now:
-
For all single-player categories, spawn-waiting is permitted as it is difficult to enforce and we've accepted parts of it in the past. This includes Disruptor and Digger, as well as the less useful Helpless, and Jumper
-
As a result of arbitrary times based on how long you can wait at the start, for 2 player categories (Kitless and Warper), we will disallow spawn-waiting; that means you need to sprint-start. If you end up waiting due to forgetfulness I would say make the timer start when your lower timer reaches 0.0
To Paris' response, I only included Jumper and Helpless for completeness. It's obvious that spawn waiting has no effect but I want to make sure it's concise
After someone made it apparent, we have realized that a significant flaw with our previous rule set is that for Warper and Kitless it would create runs that would start based on one point of view and end based on another, which would create obvious errors, as a result, we realized we need to either outright allow or disallow it for those 2 categories. This is the set we've decided:
-

(Note for the third question: Don't try to fill up as much space as possible; just answer concisely and honestly. The reason the third question is there is to prevent unjustified votes / votes which are persuaded by other parties)
I've known trustworthy programs that get identified as a virus on antiviruses. I would still assume it's more likely a false positive than an actual virus
No they're talking about livesplit autosplitter
Jonese is trusted from what I know it is most likely a false positive
When verifying runs for that I just assume that they put it into the right category (which they clearly did not here). It's fixed now
Don't think map edits are worth the mention tbh
Me and tiggz have decided to remove the Fungi Galore times as a result of a change in the map's design, making it longer in all categories. Sorry for the inconvenience (if this somehow inconvenienced anyone)
