Good idea, but in what state the saves are? I mean, is each stage fully completed (all events, max upgrades) or just the fastest way? That makes a difference in IL since for example in stage 2, we don't fully upgrade our car - you can discover a blue shop and get tires, brakes and weight reduction upgrades, but since it takes a lot of time to get there and doesn't save much, we don't use it in stage 2.
This is btw an overlook in your stage 3 run. You should have full upgrades and full visual rating (no idea what is max in stage 2) It wouldn't save much time, I admit, but it does :)
EDIT: Btw, you should maybe check my guide, or we can create a forum thread to discuss stages etc. My run has by no means perfect strats.
I'm pretty sure his run is segmented, not SS. He did the same with all of his Serious Sam runs, because apparently he misinterpreted what "single-segment" means.
You can clearly notice several segments in Hell.
speedrun.com plans to give mods ability to create multiple fulll-game and IL leaderboards, which should solve the issue with too many categories.
I'm pretty sure any retail version should be 1.2, so grab a copy of ebay or amazon.
Merry Xmas, guys.
I wish you all good luck speedrunning NFS games :)
The way I said is accurate, that's not the issue here. I'm just not sure there would be a competition to complete drifts as fast as possible.
Use the time from the last frame before you finish, I guess. I'm not sure we should even have drifts here.
Downloadable videos are fine. I recommend archive.org if you want to keep your videos hosted forever.
It's there under misc category, but only for Chronicles. I don't know how to handle TRIV, but if you have an idea, tell me.
Yeah, I guess. You really want to do that category?
- Auto is pretty stupid in U2, so use manual.
- Apparently it only works in Most Wanted 2005. We've tested it in U2 and Carbon and it didn't work.
- My best bet is Corolla since it's the fastest car in every URL, Sprint, Circuit and Street X event.
This is basically a mod that adds/fixes/changes content of the vanilla version, so it either shouldn't be allowed, or it should be put into a new category (I vote for a new category).
-You should use whichever version is the fastest, unless it's broken (more fps = more speed etc.)
-In this case, the INI editing shouldn't be allowed.
-If you're going to run the whole game, then I suggest to use real time. You could probably use in-game time for IL runs, though, if you can fix the discrepancies.
Please do so, I can't wait for sub 1 hour run :D
Just wondering, have you guys tried this OoB with a different car? It's possible the trigger doesn't require a specific car. If it still requires only M3, is there a way you could do it before even starting the blacklist?
